Feedback: Load Voice tooltip doesn't clearly state the folder it reads from, and its input/output model differs from ComfyUI convention without being flagged

Summary

The Load Voice node's dropdown/selector pulls from ComfyUI/output/qwen3-tts_voices — but the current tooltip only says:

"Pick a saved voice from the default voice library folder"

This is vague in two ways:

  1. The actual folder path isn't named. A user has no way to know where "the default voice library folder" actually is without digging through the repo's README/Update.md, or trial-and-error (as happened here — it took several rounds of testing Create Voice's save_path behavior to even locate ComfyUI/output/qwen3-tts_voices for certain).
  2. It breaks the usual ComfyUI input/output convention without saying so. Most ComfyUI nodes that read user-provided files (audio, images, etc.) pull from ComfyUI/input/, while generated/saved artifacts land in ComfyUI/output/. Load Voice instead treats ComfyUI/output/qwen3-tts_voices as a read-from-repository folder — output being used as a source, not just a destination. That's a reasonable design choice for a "voice library" concept, but it's a deviation from what ComfyUI users expect by default, and the tooltip doesn't call that out.

Suggested fix

Update the tooltip to name the folder explicitly, e.g.:

"Pick a saved voice from ComfyUI/output/qwen3-tts_voices (also used by Create Voice)"

This would make the input/output relationship between Create Voice and Load Voice self-evident from the tooltip alone, without requiring a user to read external docs to understand where voices come from or go.

Environment

  • ComfyUI-QwenTTS installed via git clone into a Stability Matrix–managed ComfyUI instance
  • ComfyUI 0.28.0, Windows, RTX 4070 (12GB VRAM)

Follow-up to two previously filed issues on this repo regarding Create Voice's save_path silently failing on non-existent folders, and stale caching / overwrite behavior.
