Can someone explain what this "matrix" thing is during startup, and whether I need it?
@asahi-xd commented on GitHub (May 30, 2026):
No you do not need this. Recently, the developer added an optional feature that allows users to share their generated workflows and images directly to chat rooms on Matrix (an open-source, decentralized communication protocol like Discord).
The matrix-nio package is the Python library required to make that connection. Because most users do not use Matrix to share workflows, ComfyUI-Manager leaves it uninstalled by default to save space, which triggers this soft warning on startup.
@Kinasa0096 commented on GitHub (May 31, 2026):
Thank you
