error on ubuntu latest amd
worked until recently; this fixes it in: model_management.py
EDIT: was fixed... just a few days after i posted this; updating requirements removed the need for the fix
/mnt/data/code/ComfyUI/.venv/bin/python3 -m pip install -r /mnt/data/code/ComfyUI/requirements.txt@dmann73699 commented on GitHub (May 11, 2026):
in comfyUi/Comfy folder
find the import comfy_aimdo.vram_buffer
'#' it out and add the code above below it.

Same issue here.
@planb788 commented on GitHub (Jul 3, 2026):
A better approach is to upgrade comfy_aimdo using this command:
python -m pip install comfy_aimdo -UNote: This command must be used in the same directory as python.exe.
@Lamardinho commented on GitHub (Jul 5, 2026):
Thank you very much! For my Windows PC, the command is:
.\.venv\Scripts\python.exe -m pip install comfy_aimdo -U@zohrehminaei commented on GitHub (Jul 6, 2026):
Hi,
I had the exact same error:
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'comfy_aimdo.vram_buffer'
I tried a clean reinstall, updating comfy_aimdo with:
python -m pip install comfy_aimdo -U
and also tested different ComfyUI versions, but the error remained.
After inspecting the installation, I noticed that the installed comfy_aimdo package did not contain the expected vram_buffer module.
As a test, I copied the entire comfy_aimdo folder from another computer where ComfyUI was working correctly into:
standalone-env\Lib\site-packages\comfy_aimdo
After replacing the folder, ComfyUI started successfully and worked normally.
This seems to indicate a packaging or version mismatch between the comfy_aimdo package being installed and the version expected by ComfyUI.
I hope this information helps identify the issue.
Thanks!

It seems that it hasn't been run for a long time. In the Windows version, find the "Terminal" tab on the instance switching page and execute: "pip install comfy_aimdo -U". However, it is better to execute "pip install -r requirements.txt" to avoid other issues, and then restart
