There was an issue in the previous version (3.3.7) where node versions that were pending, deleted, or flagged and could not be installed were listed.
Please try updating ComfyUI-Manager to the latest version and check if the same issue still occurs.

Is your ComfyUI-Manager up to date?
(V3.27.2+)

Yes. When I hit the "update all" button in the comfyui manager, some nodes like impact pack got updated and some nodes like the ones I mentioned above failed to update. Tried to update them from custom node manager and it gave me the "Failed to fetch versions from ComfyRegistry." msg. I changed the security level from normal to weak, no effect. I tried with and without a VPN, and the same msg appeared.

P.S. sorry to bother you, I feel the issue is only on my side. Thank you for replying.

It seems that using a VPN (with a clean IP, I assume?) solved the problem. I tried another VPN, but the issue persisted. Are there any IP or other restrictions for updating nodes?

In some countries, access to GitHub is restricted, so it is necessary to use a VPN or a mirror to bypass the restriction.

I understand that. What seems odd to me is why some nodes, especially yours, update successfully while others fail. If it's an IP restriction, shouldn't your nodes also fail to update?

Compare the contents of .git/config in the comfyui-impact-pack and comfyui-inpaint-cropandstitch directories.
Then, try running git pull in each directory. (NOTE: not inside .git directory. )

It’s possible that comfyui-impact-pack was installed via a mirror.

same problem, to save us time read this 10 times: "Is the manager up to date? Yes the manager is up to date"
npw that we moved on to the regulatory repetitive questioning and repeptitive answering, I have the same problem:
I updated with the "update comfy and all dependencies.bat" and there the problems started bulking up, first it was bricked
managed to reinstall with half of comfyUI not working, and my nodes floating above the spaghetti unconnected
new torch with cuda installed updated everything not working still
reinstalled the latest comfyUI and NOW we are at this problem:

  • nodes (wd14 tagger, griptape and florence2) not found
  • they are installed
  • install missing nodes not working
  • install from git not working
  • deleting all the nodes and uninstalling them then reinstalling them not working
And after updating like a million times and restarting there is 1 question i am certain off answering with a yes and that is
is the manager up to date? Just soo you do not have to ask that question again

The reason I always double-check if it's the latest version usually comes down to two main points:

  1. Due to various unexpected issues, it often turns out that the setup isn’t actually up to date. That’s why we specifically ask for the version number.

  2. Sometimes a patch has already been released for a similar issue. Even if someone thinks they’re on the latest version, an update may have been released in the time it took to post the question.

Also, the reason I always ask for the full log again, even when someone says it’s the same issue, is because what the user thinks is the same problem often turns out to be a completely different or more complex issue.

There are many types of users asking questions here—from those with developer-level expertise to others with very little technical knowledge. And even experts can make mistakes, so it’s important to always re-check the most reliable starting point to identify the problem.

I am happy to give you the logs, no problem, but reading this article it wasn't double or tripple checking, the more I read the same question the more frustrated I became, because Comfy still doesn't work and I spent my whole sunday on it, and all because I updated which should fix problems not brick it, so sorry if I sounded and probably still sound a bit frustrated.

<!-- gh-comment-id:2747076586 --> @serget2 commented on GitHub (Mar 24, 2025): I am happy to give you the logs, no problem, but reading this article it wasn't double or tripple checking, the more I read the same question the more frustrated I became, because Comfy still doesn't work and I spent my whole sunday on it, and all because I updated which should fix problems not brick it, so sorry if I sounded and probably still sound a bit frustrated. the very first one asks for a "fingerprint" and does not give me permission, and this is just the first one, could you give me a recap of the things I have to do because my scrollfinger is burning like mad going up and down this thread, If I had only known I had to rewrite comfyUI from scratch instead of just getting a one click fix-all, djeezes

I tried the nightly command:
pip install --pre --extra-index https://pypi.anaconda.org/scientific-python-nightly-wheels/simple scikit-learn

but it does not seem to work, still can't rebuild my nodes, maybe I have to do more and manually but I am not a programmer, installing visual studio and anaconda and 10.000 other programs before I even can begin to program a fix that might not work anyway is really disheartening

Based on your logs, the issues are dependency-related and not related to the topic of this thread at all.
Before looking into any other issues, you need to make sure that the version of numpy is below 2.0.
(numpy 2.0+ is causing various dependency errors.)

Also, ComfyUI-Manager is designed to check this during the initial startup phase, but the logs you provided do not include that early part of the startup process.

Please post a separate thread and include the beginning part of the logs.

We are currently in the process of changing the structure so that the cache is no longer needed. That step will be removed in the future.
