I encountered an issue with the "Model Manager" from the "ComfyUI Manager Menu" while installing models. Some installed models were not recognized or found, even after restarting. Upon investigation, I noticed that the "Model Manager" created a new directory named "VAE" instead of using the default "vae" directory.

I think this issue is specific to case-sensitive file systems (e.g., Linux) and does not affect systems like Windows where folder names are case-insensitive.

Environment:

  • OS: Ubuntu 2024.04.1 LTS
  • ComfyUI Version: v0.3.9 (2024-12-20)
  • Manager Version: V2.55.5

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Use a Linux system with a ComfyUI installation.
  2. Open the "Model Manager" from the "ComfyUI Manager Menu."
  3. Install the model hunyuan_video_vae_bf16.safetensors (this is the model I installed, I have not tried installing other VAE models, but the behaviour may be the same).
  4. Restart ComfyUI and reopen the "Model Manager" to check the installed model.
  5. Inspect the comfyui/models directory. You will find a new directory named "VAE", containing the installed model, instead of using the default "vae" directory.

Thank you for your work! ^_^
