Does anyone knowledgeable to the development of the Manager node have answers to the following? (@ltdrdata)

Was the implementation of making requests (at startup) to external addresses, such as api.comfy.com and a JSON file in the GitHub repo, added recently?

If so, was this done to host the custom nodes directory online in a JSON format, as opposed to requiring an update to the manager with each change to the directory?

Is there an option to disable this online pull and instead use a potentially outdated but locally stored list?

The update for closed networks has already been planned.

ComfyRegistry was introduced as a solution to address security and compatibility issues arising from the rapid growth of the ComfyUI ecosystem, aiming to create a more sustainable environment.

ComfyUI-Manager is no longer a project that can be managed by an individual.

Now you can set network_mode in config.ini

@ltdrdata The update seems to provide public, private, and offline modes:

* network_mode:
   - public: An environment that uses a typical public network.
   - private: An environment that uses a closed network, where a private node DB is configured via `channel_url`. (Uses cache if available)
   - offline: An environment that does not use any external connections when using an offline network. (Uses cache if available)

After setting the network_mode = private in config.ini, the Manager still seems to be connecting to external addresses. My config.ini has the network_mode = private, but the console shows

### Loading: ComfyUI-Manager (V3.20)

What is the path to the config.ini file that you edited?

Make sure the file you edited matches the ComfyUI-Manager config path: displayed at ComfyUI startup.

FYI, And your ComfyUI-Manager is outdated version.
