@sayimburak commented on GitHub (Feb 16, 2025):

This problem is caused by the missing chardet and rich modules. For ComfyUI portable version, follow these steps:

  1. Open the ComfyUI folder from the file explorer.
  2. Type "cmd" in the address bar and press enter.
  3. Paste and run these two codes:
.\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install chardet
.\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install rich

It seems that your network environment unstable.

This is unrelated to this issue, but try execute this.

F:\apps\AI\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install "numpy<2"

And in a normal network environment, this method should resolve the issue.
Originally, this should be installed automatically when ComfyUI-Manager runs.

F:\apps\AI\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install -r F:\apps\AI\ComfyUI\custom_nodes\comfyui-manager\requirements.txt

It seems that your python version doesn't support that package. What is your python version?

python_embeded/python -m pip install rich --force-reinstall force reinstall as it was refusing to install it and was keeping the system python ref instead.

sorry guys, i know this issues is closed but this "--force-reinstall" acutaully save my life.

I have already try this and always return "Requirement already satisfied"

.\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install chardet
.\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install rich

then i try reisntall the ComfyUI-Manager, use latest version ComfyUI+ComfyUI-Manager, reinstall ComfyUI, remove all custom node, try using docker version ComfyUI, remove all python site-packages... and all didn't work.

The final soultion works for me is

.\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install chardet
.\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install rich **--force-reinstall**

I think this problem happens to me because i install too many custom_node and run update_comfyui_and_python_dependencies.bat

Thank you @builder-main @ltdrdata

i found a solution, actually i have python 3.12 installed and comfyui uses python 3.12 too. so when i installed manager, it installed rich module using my own python.exe (in path env). so i went to app/roaming/python and copied rich to comfyui python dir and now it works. HOW TO SEPARATE THESE 2 PYTHONs?

When installing dependencies with pip in Python, one thing to always keep in mind is that they must be installed in the same Python environment where ComfyUI is running.

Due to Python's nature, version conflicts between dependencies are common.

To minimize this, it is recommended to use isolated Python environments for each application, such as venv, conda, or embedded Python.
