There's a path format inconsistency when using UNet/diffusion models downloaded through ComfyUI-Manager. Although models are correctly downloaded to the expected directory, the validator expects a different path format when referencing the same file.

Technical Details
The issue occurs because:
ComfyUI-Manager correctly downloads the model to the proper directory:
~/comfyui-rocm-docker/data/comfyui/models/diffusion_models/Wan2.1/wan2.1_t2v_1.3B_fp16.safetensorsHowever, the validator expects the model to be referenced with a different path format:
~/comfyui-rocm-docker/data/comfyui/models/diffusion_models/wan2.1_t2v_1.3B_fp16.safetensorsThis is a format inconsistency rather than a directory structure issue. The model file exists in the correct location, but the validator is expecting the model to be referenced with a different path format that includes the subfolder name within the path string.
Additional Information
The critical difference is in how the path is represented in the validation process:
.../models/diffusion_models/Wan2.1/wan2.1_t2v_1.3B_fp16.safetensors.../models/diffusion_models/wan2.1_t2v_1.3B_fp16.safetensorsThis suggests the issue is related to how path references are formatted or normalized between the installation process and the validation process in ComfyUI-Manager.
Resolution
Moving the model file to match the expected path format (removing the subfolder and placing the file directly in the diffusion_models directory) resolves the issue. This confirms that the problem is purely a path format inconsistency rather than a deeper structural issue.
@ltdrdata commented on GitHub (Apr 14, 2025):
The term “exact path” is a misnomer. While the base directory should be appropriately selected depending on the model type, the subdirectory structure is something that each user can reorganize based on their own system.
ComfyUI-Manager determines the download path according to its own logic, whereas the path used by nodes is based on each user's local structure.
If a model was downloaded via ComfyUI-Manager, you need to refresh to recognize the newly added model, and then re-select it in each node accordingly.
