Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/Comfy-Org/ComfyUI-Manager/issues/1785
i kept getting errors of some missing "essentials" nodes in workflows, despite having updated to latest. only after another user found this out i got it working:
i deleted the custom nodes folder ComfyUI_essentials and manually git cloned. and voila no more missing nodes
why would installing via manager not be the same as git cloning repo?
@masayay commented on GitHub (May 2, 2025):
This is related to the following issue.
https://github.com/Comfy-Org/ComfyUI-Manager/issues/1411
The problem is due to setting install_path with
node_id. Usingrepo_nameinstead should fix it.This patch is expected to resolve the issue, I haven't done much testing.

Hey there, I wanted to forward another case reported to me just yesterday, where a user had the same issue affecting the ComfyUI_IPAdapter_plus pack, also by Matteo.
A manual installation via git clone was also necessary to solve that issue and have all nodes load properly.
