I'm relatively new to ComfyUI and somehow I ended up with the Mac ComfyUI manager on a windows installation.
I tried installing the windows version by using
git clone https://github.com/ltdrdata/ComfyUI-Manager comfyui-managerin my custom_nodes folder (there was no comfyui-manager folder before that), but that didn't help.I've had a hard time managing custom nodes and I think it's because of the manager. It keep getting things like "If you see this message, your ComfyUI-Manager is outdated.". I also can't update my comfyui. The manager says I'm on version 0.4.49, but the terminal says I'm running version 0.3.34.
How do I fix this?
@ltdrdata commented on GitHub (May 25, 2025):
First of all, ComfyUI-Manager does not have separate versions for macOS and Windows.
If you're seeing an outdated version message, go to the ComfyUI/custom_nodes directory and delete any folders named ComfyUI-Manager or anything similar. Then perform the git clone again.

Thanks for the timely reply.
Excuses my ignorance, I thought the 0.4.49 referred to the MacOS version, but it refers to the desktop version for both windows and MacOS. I also use the portable version with a different version number, so I got confused.
I tired deleting the folders as you said, and then cloning the repo again, but that didn't help. I even ran comfyui without any comfyui-manager folder (as far as I can tell), but I still get a manager menu without the update button. I should add that my main goal is to update the desktop version to 0.3.36. The check for updates button under the help menu in the top left corner says there's no update, and I don't have the update comfyui button in my manager menu.

This issue is fixed.
