Could someone please hint at where this "main menu" is, where the Manager button is supposed to be?

There are an extreme amount of menus to choose from and popups with menus and menus within menus... None seems to be called "main menu".

It seems to be "working", as it runs with ComfyUI and there are no errors regarding it in the log.

The Manager button ends up in the upper right corner after restarting the backend a couple of times.
