Running the below command in the ComfyUI Manager directory

python cm-cli.py install "ComfyUI-Login"

shows the output

===============================================================
FETCH DATA from: /workspace/ComfyUI/user/default/ComfyUI-Manager/cache/1514988643_custom-node-list.json [DONE]
Using Python 3.12.11 environment at: .pyenv/versions/comfyui
install_node exit on fail:False...

Available version of 'ComfyUI-Login'
[2024-06-14] 1.0.0

Using Python 3.12.11 environment at: .pyenv/versions/comfyui

===============================================================

The node is not installed. The same thing happens for some other nodes, too—for example, 'ComfyUI-Easy-Use'.

Why does this happen? Is there a workaround for installing the latest version of these nodes through the command line?

Had this too, here is a solution:
Node pack name seems to be registry-sensitive.

comfy node install comfyui-custom-scripts
installs last version correctly but
comfy node install ComfyUI-Custom-Scripts just shows last versions:

Available version of 'ComfyUI-Custom-Scripts'
[2025-04-30] 1.2.5 --
[2025-04-18] 1.2.4 --
[2025-03-16] 1.2.3 --
[2025-03-16] 1.2.2 --
[2025-03-16] 1.2.1 --
[2025-03-09] 1.2.0 --
[2025-02-19] 1.1.1 --
[2025-02-01] 1.1.0 --
[2024-05-21] 1.0.0 --

Try the node ID instead of the name. Example: ComfyUI-Impact-Pack -> comfyui-impact-pack
