The Problem

When I ran npm build as instructed in the readme, I received:

npm run build
npm warn deprecated inflight@1.0.6: This module is not supported, and leaks memory. Do not use it. Check out lru-cache if you want a good and tested way to coalesce async requests by a key value, which is much more comprehensive and powerful.
npm warn deprecated glob@7.2.3: Glob versions prior to v9 are no longer supported
npm warn deprecated domexception@4.0.0: Use your platform's native DOMException instead
npm warn deprecated abab@2.0.6: Use your platform's native atob() and btoa() methods instead

added 613 packages, and audited 614 packages in 3s

153 packages are looking for funding
  run `npm fund` for details

6 vulnerabilities (2 low, 3 moderate, 1 critical)

Changes Made

✅ All 4 npm deprecation warnings eliminated
✅ Jest 29 → Jest 30
✅ jsdom 20 → jsdom 26

Security Improvements:

✅ Vite 5.2.10 → 7.3.0
✅ @vitejs/plugin-react 4.2.1 → 5.1.2
✅ All security vulnerabilities raised by npm audit resolved

Configuration Updates:

✅ jest.setup.js → jest.setup.ts (ES module compatibility)
✅ jest.config.js updated

Verification

✅ All tests pass (1/1 test suite)
✅ Build completes cleanly with no warnings
✅ Application builds successfully to ../dist
✅ No functional changes to application behavior
