I tried installing both the older and the latest versions in ComfyUI, but neither of them loads in ComfyUI (though ComfyUI doesn't report any incompatibility). I have an RTX 5060 Ti GPU with 16 GB of VRAM.

Working definitely on 5060ti. But without log of the error, nobody can help you ;-)
Please post the last lines of the log when the error occurs.

required nvidia-vfx package in Windows:
python -m pip install -U --no-build-isolation nvidia-vfx --index-url https://pypi.nvidia.com
@doogyhatts commented on GitHub (Mar 22, 2026):
I had a crash instead from my 5080.
I have torch 2.9.1+cu130.
How are you people getting it to work on a 5060Ti?
@Wotan300 commented on GitHub (Mar 27, 2026):
Habe 5060 TI und läuft super!!
@remark3d commented on GitHub (Mar 27, 2026):
@swdvb:
PS Z:> python -m pip install -U --no-build-isolation nvidia-vfx --index-url https://pypi.nvidia.com
Looking in indexes: https://pypi.nvidia.com
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement nvidia-vfx (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for nvidia-vfx
@remark3d commented on GitHub (Mar 27, 2026):
but this works:
pip install --extra-index-url=http://sqrl.nvidia.com/dldata/pip-scratch/ --trusted-host sqrl.nvidia.com nvidia-tlt
@swdvb commented on GitHub (Mar 28, 2026):
the link is broken
@bakatimeproject commented on GitHub (Apr 4, 2026):
In the root folder where your startup .bat file is located, open a command prompt and run
.\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install nvidia-vfx --extra-index-url https://pypi.nvidia.com@remark3d commented on GitHub (Apr 4, 2026):
@bakatimeproject Thank you! I ran PowerShell in the wrong location. The custom node now works perfectly.
@bakatimeproject commented on GitHub (Apr 4, 2026):
I recommend using a "resize image" option to avoid errors during saving due to calculation issues. Use basic resolutions (720x1280) as they are common in video.
