## Summary
API and other legacy JSON generated by python `json.dumps` can contain
`NaN` and `Infinity` which cannot be parsed with JS `JSON.parse`. This
adds regex to replace these invalid tokens with `null`.
## Changes
- **What**:
- add regex replace on bare NaN/infinity tokens after JSON.parse fails
- update call sites
- tests
## Review Focus
- The regex should only rewrite bare NaN/-Infinity/Infinity and not
touch string values or other invalid tokens.
- A small regex was chosen over JSON5 due to package size (30.3kB
Minified, 9kB Minified + Gzipped) or a manual parser due to the
unnecessarily complexity vs a single regex replace.
- The happy path is run first, the safe parse is only executed if that
failed, meaning no overhead the vast majority of the time and no
possiblity of corrupting valid workflows due to a bug in the fallback
parser
- Multiple call sites had to be updated due to pre-existing architecture
of the various parsers, an issue for unifying these is logged for future
cleanup
- New binary fixtures added for validating e2e import using real files

## Summary
Adds the Anthropic logo to the partner-node icon set so nodes whose
category ends in `Anthropic` (e.g. the Claude node added in
Comfy-Org/ComfyUI#13867 with `category="api node/text/Anthropic"`)
render the correct provider badge in the node library.
## Changes
- `packages/design-system/src/icons/anthropic.svg` — new auto-discovered
partner icon (Anthropic A glyph, sourced from
[lobehub/lobe-icons](https://github.com/lobehub/lobe-icons), uses
`fill="currentColor"` for theme adaptation)
- `src/utils/categoryUtil.ts` — register Anthropic's brand coral
`#D97757` as the badge border color
- `packages/design-system/src/css/style.css` — add `anthropic` to the
dynamic comfy-icon safelist so Tailwind/Iconify emits CSS for
`icon-[comfy--anthropic]` in production builds
- `src/utils/categoryUtil.test.ts` — regression tests for
`getProviderIcon('Anthropic')` and `getProviderBorderStyle('Anthropic')`
## Verification
- `pnpm typecheck` ✓
- `pnpm lint` ✓ (0 errors; 3 pre-existing warnings in unrelated files)
- `pnpm format:check` ✓
- `pnpm test:unit -- src/utils/categoryUtil.test.ts` ✓ (13/13)
- `pnpm build` ✓ — confirmed `comfy--anthropic` class is emitted into
`dist/assets/index-*.css`
- Manual visual check via Playwright against `pnpm dev`: injected `<i
class="icon-[comfy--anthropic]">` elements at badge size (10px) and 48px
alongside the existing OpenAI and BFL icons and confirmed the Anthropic
"A" glyph renders correctly in coral. See screenshot.
End-to-end visual verification of the live badge in the node library
requires Comfy-Org/ComfyUI#13867 to land first (the Claude node is what
produces the `Anthropic` category that triggers the icon lookup).

Enables the oxlint rule `vitest/consistent-each-for` (configured to
prefer `.for` for `test`, `it`, `describe`, and `suite`) and migrates
every `.each` parameterized test in the repo to `.for`. Using `.for`
avoids accidentally splatting tuple elements into separate callback
arguments and exposes `TestContext` as the second callback argument.
The first commit covers the 38 lint-detected files (88 callsites):
renames `.each` → `.for` and updates callback signatures to destructure
when the data is an array of tuples (objects/primitives already work
unchanged with `.for`).
The follow-up commit addresses code review feedback: oxlint's rule does
not recognize `test.each` on extended test bases
(`baseTest.extend(...)`) and skips files in `ignorePatterns`
(`src/extensions/core/*`). These were converted manually so the policy
is uniform across the codebase.
## Verification
- `node_modules/.bin/oxlint src` — 0 errors, 0 `consistent-each-for`
violations
- `pnpm typecheck` — passes
- `pnpm test:unit` — all modified test files pass; pre-existing
environmental flakes (`GraphView.test.ts`, `ColorWidget.test.ts`, etc.,
unchanged here and flaky on `main` in this sandbox) are unrelated
- `pnpm lint` / `pnpm knip` — clean
- Manual verification: 362 tests across 6 representative converted
suites re-run in an interactive shell — all passing
Manual UI verification (Playwright/screenshots) is not applicable:
changes are test-file-only refactors with no production runtime or UI
behavior change.
## Notes on `.for` semantics
- Array-of-tuples (`[[a, b], ...]`) passes the tuple as a single arg, so
callbacks were changed from `(a, b) => …` to `([a, b]) => …`.
- Array-of-objects (`[{a}, …]`) already used destructuring — unchanged.
- Array-of-primitives (`['a', …]`) — callback signature unchanged.
- A handful of complex cases use a small `type Case = [...]` alias plus
`it.for<Case>([...])` to preserve tuple inference where TS narrowed
unions otherwise broke parameter types.

## Summary
Restores required-input validation highlighting on Vue node input slots.
## Changes
- **What**: Passes validation error state from `NodeSlots` to
`InputSlot` using node locator IDs, including subgraph and nested
subgraph execution IDs.
- **What**: Adds unit coverage for root, one-level subgraph, and nested
subgraph slot error mapping.
- **What**: Adds a Vue Nodes screenshot regression test that asserts the
missing required input slot itself receives the error highlight.
- **Dependencies**: None.
## Review Focus
- Required input errors on Vue-rendered node's slots.
- The new Playwright screenshot expectation will need the `New Browser
Test Expectation` label for Linux baseline generation.

## Summary
Replaces all 7 production `as Error` type assertions with proper
`instanceof Error` narrowing or a new `toError()` helper, and adds an
ESLint rule to prevent new ones. First slice of #11429 (the `as Error`
category — 9 total occurrences, 7 production + 2 in a test file left
untouched).
## Changes
- **What**:
- New `src/utils/errorUtil.ts` exporting `toError(value: unknown):
Error` and `getErrorMessage(value: unknown): string | undefined`.
`toError` returns the value unchanged if already an `Error`, otherwise
wraps it (handles strings, `undefined`, JSON-serializable objects, and
circular refs via `String()` fallback).
- Refactored 7 production call sites:
- `src/services/gateway/registrySearchGateway.ts` — `toError(error)` for
`lastError` assignment in fallback loop
- `src/platform/cloud/onboarding/auth.ts` (×2) — `toError(error)` for
`captureApiError` Sentry calls
-
`src/renderer/extensions/vueNodes/widgets/composables/audio/useAudioRecorder.ts`
— `toError(err)` before forwarding to `options.onError`
- `src/extensions/core/load3d/LoaderManager.ts` — replaced `error as
Error & { response?: ... }` cast inside `isNotFoundError` with
`'response' in error` + nested narrowing
- `apps/desktop-ui/src/stores/maintenanceTaskStore.ts` — inline `error
instanceof Error ? error.message : String(error)`
- `apps/desktop-ui/src/components/maintenance/TaskListPanel.vue` —
inline `error instanceof Error ? error.message : undefined`
- New ESLint rule (`no-restricted-syntax` block named
`comfy/no-unsafe-error-assertion`) banning `TSAsExpression
TSTypeReference[typeName.name='Error']` in `src/**` and `apps/*/src/**`,
with test files (`*.test.ts`, `*.spec.ts`) excluded.
- 12 unit tests for the new helpers in `src/utils/errorUtil.test.ts`.
- **Breaking**: none
- **Dependencies**: none
## Review Focus
- The lint rule is scoped to non-test source files. Test files retain
freedom to use `as Error` for fixture construction; only 2 occurrences
exist (in `teamWorkspaceStore.test.ts` and `errorDialog.spec.ts`) and
they're intentional.
- `toError` is duplicated as inline `instanceof` narrowing in
`apps/desktop-ui/` rather than imported, since the desktop-ui workspace
doesn't share `@/utils/` with the main app and adding a path mapping for
one helper felt heavier than two inline guards.
- Remaining `as`-on-DOM categories (HTMLElement ×133, HTMLInputElement
×55, HTMLCanvasElement ×36, KeyboardEvent ×7, Element ×3, MouseEvent ×2,
Event ×2) are intentionally left for follow-up PRs to keep this one
reviewable.

When an output is dragged from the assets panel onto a node, outputs
were being reuploaded. This logic has been simplified to instead
reference the existing asset by resolving the annotated path.
As part of this change, async drop handlers on nodes are also fixed.
Rather than placing obligation of event handling on client code, not
respecting async handlers, or completely ignoring return types, the vue
drop handler will now simply set `app.dragOverNode` and allow the
`document` drop handler to resolve node drag/drop operations without any
of the difficulty from propagation.

## Summary
Extends `colorUtil.test.ts` with boundary tests that the existing suite
did not cover: malformed `parseToRgb` inputs, alpha-hex parsing through
`parseToRgb`, negative hue normalization in `hsbToRgb`, the full
`isTransparent` matrix, HSV-vs-HSB equivalence in `toHexFromFormat`, the
bare-hex prefix path, and a non-primary-color round-trip through
`hexToHsva` / `hsvaToHex`.
## Changes
- **What**: Adds 13 Vitest cases across 5 new `describe` blocks
(`parseToRgb edge cases`, `hsbToRgb normalization`, `isTransparent`,
`toHexFromFormat`, plus a non-primary round-trip in the existing
`hexToHsva / hsvaToHex` block). Uses the existing
`vi.mock('es-toolkit/compat')` memoize stub.
## Review Focus
- The non-primary palette round-trip allows ±1 per RGB channel because
`hsbToRgb` floors while `rgbToHex` rounds; the test asserts the bound
rather than exact equality.
- `parseToRgb` is exercised with alpha-bearing hex (`#f008`,
`#ff000080`); the function returns RGB-only, so the alpha is
intentionally discarded.
- `toHexFromFormat({h, s, v}, 'hsb')` covers the HSV-shaped object path
that wraps `hsbToRgb`.

## Summary
Adds unit coverage for `linkFixer` serialized graph repair paths and
fixes input-slot repairs being tracked without mutating the serialized
workflow data.
## Changes
- **What**: Adds 10 Vitest cases for valid links, dry-run reporting,
origin/target repair, missing input-slot cleanup, dangling node cleanup,
stale link deletion, and silent mode.
- **What**: Applies serialized input slot mutations in fix mode and
reports `fixed` only after a rerun confirms the graph is clean.
- **What**: Adds the design-system package to knip workspace config so
the pre-push hook recognizes its exported CSS dependency usage.
- **Dependencies**: None.
## Review Focus

workflow JSON, so the new tests stay at that boundary and assert the
repaired graph shape directly.
## Test Coverage
- CI snapshot for `src/utils/linkFixer.ts`: unit lines 1.8%.

## Summary
- run every `parseIsoDateSafe` case with more than 3 fractional-second
digits through `withStrictMillisecondParser`
- assert the normalized 3-digit timestamp string passed into `Date` for
each long-fraction variant
- keep the follow-up scoped to test coverage only
## Root cause
V8 already accepts and truncates ISO timestamps with more than 3
fractional-second digits, so the existing tests could stay green even if
`parseIsoDateSafe` failed to normalize those values before constructing
`Date`. Wrapping the long-fraction cases in the strict parser shim makes
CI exercise the Safari/WebView-sensitive path the feature is meant to
protect.

## Summary
Cloud Prod renders "Invalid Date" in Settings → Secrets on strict JS
Date parsers (older Safari, some WebViews) because the backend emits
timestamps with variable fractional-second precision (e.g.
`"2026-04-18T10:04:55.6513Z"` — 4 digits), which falls outside the
3-digit-only ECMA-262 grammar.
## Changes
- **What**:
- Add `parseIsoDateSafe()` in `src/utils/dateTimeUtil.ts` — trims the
fractional portion to millisecond precision before `new Date(...)` and
returns `null` for missing or unparseable input.
- `SecretListItem.vue` uses the helper and hides the Created / Last Used
line when the timestamp is invalid instead of rendering the literal
string "Invalid Date".
- Unit tests for the parser (8) and for the component (4-digit
fractional seconds, garbage input).
## Review Focus
- The backend (Go `time.RFC3339Nano`) strips trailing zeros from
fractional seconds, producing 0–9 digits depending on the value. Modern
V8 parses this leniently; older Safari does not. A durable fix is
server-side — emit exactly 3 fractional digits — and should be filed
separately. This PR is a defensive frontend guard that also protects ~10
other `toLocaleDateString` callsites if they migrate to the helper.
- Regex `(\.\d{3})\d+(?=Z|[+-]\d{2}:?\d{2}|$)` trims only when there are
**more than** 3 digits; shorter fractions and zero-fraction timestamps
are unchanged.

## Summary
Part of #11092 — Phase 3: remove @ts-expect-error suppressions from test
files.
This phase targets 22 suppressions across two test files:
- `src/utils/nodeDefUtil.test.ts` (18)
- `src/platform/workflow/validation/schemas/workflowSchema.test.ts` (4)
## Changes
`nodeDefUtil.test.ts`: Each test already constrains the inputs to a
known subtype (`IntInputSpec`, `FloatInputSpec`, `ComboInputSpecV2`), so
casting result to the expected subtype at the declaration site is both
correct and self-documenting. For the one test that uses the base
`InputSpec` type, the options object is extracted with an inline
structural cast.
`workflowSchema.test.ts`: validateComfyWorkflow returns
ComfyWorkflowJSON | null. The tests were accessing .nodes[0].pos without
narrowing, causing "object is possibly null" errors. Fixed with explicit
expect(validatedWorkflow).not.toBeNull() assertions before each property
access, which also improves failure messages — previously a null result
would throw a TypeError rather than a readable assertion failure.
<!-- CURSOR_SUMMARY -->
---
> [!NOTE]
> **Low Risk**
> Test-only type-safety refactor with no runtime code changes; primary
risk is minor test assertion behavior changes if a helper unexpectedly
returns `null`.
>
> **Overview**
> Removes `@ts-expect-error` suppressions from two test suites by making
nullability and return-type expectations explicit.
>
> `workflowSchema.test.ts` now asserts `validateComfyWorkflow` results
are non-null before accessing `nodes[0]` fields, and
`nodeDefUtil.test.ts` casts `mergeInputSpec` results to the expected
spec subtype (or extracts typed options) so property assertions compile
cleanly under stricter TS settings.

## Summary
Harden the `ChangeTracker` lifecycle to eliminate the class of bugs
where an inactive workflow's tracker silently captures the wrong graph
state. Renames `checkState()` to `captureCanvasState()` with a
self-defending assertion, introduces `deactivate()` and
`prepareForSave()` lifecycle methods, and closes a latent undo-history
corruption bug discovered during code review.
## Background
ComfyUI supports multiple workflows open as tabs, but only one canvas
(`app.rootGraph`) exists at a time. When the user switches tabs, the old
workflow's graph is unloaded and the new one is loaded into this shared
canvas.
The old `checkState()` method serialized `app.rootGraph` into
`activeState` to track changes for undo/redo. It had no awareness of
*which* workflow it belonged to -- if called on an inactive tab's
tracker, it would capture the active tab's graph data and silently
overwrite the inactive workflow's state. This caused permanent data loss
(fixed in PR #10745 with caller-side `isActive` guards).
The caller-side guards were fragile: every new call site had to remember
to add the guard, and forgetting would reintroduce the same silent data
corruption. Additionally, `beforeLoadNewGraph` only called `store()`
(viewport/outputs) without `checkState()`, meaning canvas state could be
stale if a tab switch happened without a preceding mouseup event.
### Before (fragile)
```
saveWorkflow(workflow):
if (isActive(workflow)) <-- caller must remember this guard
workflow.changeTracker.checkState() <-- name implies "read", actually writes
...
beforeLoadNewGraph():
activeWorkflow.changeTracker.store() <-- only saves viewport, NOT graph state
```
### After (self-defending)
```
saveWorkflow(workflow):
workflow.changeTracker.prepareForSave() <-- handles active/inactive internally
...
beforeLoadNewGraph():
activeWorkflow.changeTracker.deactivate() <-- captures graph + viewport together
```
## Changes
- Rename `checkState` to `captureCanvasState` with active-tracker
assertion
- Add `deactivate()` and `prepareForSave()` lifecycle methods
- Fix undo-history corruption: `captureCanvasState()` guarded by
`_restoringState`
- Fix viewport regression during undo: `deactivate()` skips
`captureCanvasState()` during undo/redo but always calls `store()` to
preserve viewport (regression from PR #10247)
- Log inactive tracker warnings unconditionally at warn level (not
DEV-only)
- Deprecated `checkState()` wrapper for extension compatibility
- Rename `checkState` to `captureCanvasState` in
`useWidgetSelectActions` composable
- Add `appModeStore.ts` to manual call sites documentation
- Add `checkState()` deprecation note to architecture docs
- Add 16 unit tests covering all guard conditions, lifecycle methods,
and undo behavior
- Add E2E test: "Undo preserves viewport offset"
## New ChangeTracker Public API
| Method | Caller | Purpose |
|--------|--------|---------|
| `captureCanvasState()` | Event handlers, UI interactions | Snapshots
canvas into activeState, pushes undo. Asserts active tracker. |
| `deactivate()` | `beforeLoadNewGraph` only | `captureCanvasState()`
(skipped during undo/redo) + `store()`. Freezes state for tab switch. |
| `prepareForSave()` | Save paths only | Active: `captureCanvasState()`.
Inactive: no-op. |
| `checkState()` | **Deprecated** -- extensions only | Wrapper that
delegates to `captureCanvasState()` with deprecation warning. |
| `store()` | Internal to `deactivate()` | Saves viewport, outputs,
subgraph navigation. |
| `restore()` | `afterLoadNewGraph` | Restores viewport, outputs,
subgraph navigation. |
| `reset()` | `afterLoadNewGraph`, save | Resets initial state (marks as
"clean"). |
## Test plan
- [x] Unit tests: 16 tests covering all guard conditions, state capture,
undo queue behavior
- [x] E2E test: "Undo preserves viewport offset" verifies no viewport
drift on undo
- [x] E2E test: "Prevents captureCanvasState from corrupting workflow
state during tab switch"
- [x] Existing E2E: "Closing an inactive tab with save preserves its own
content"
- [ ] Manual: rapidly switch tabs during undo/redo, verify no viewport
drift
- [ ] Manual: verify extensions calling `checkState()` see deprecation
warning in console
## Summary
Add a regression test for #8460 (handle non-string `serverLogs` in error
report). The fix added `typeof error.serverLogs === 'string' ? ... :
JSON.stringify(...)` in `errorReportUtil.ts` so object-shaped logs no
longer render as `[object Object]`. There was no existing unit test for
`generateErrorReport`, so this regression could silently return.
## Changes
- **What**: New unit test file `src/utils/errorReportUtil.test.ts`
covering `generateErrorReport`'s `serverLogs` rendering.
- String case: verifies plain-string logs still appear verbatim and
`[object Object]` is absent.
- Object case (regression for #8460): verifies object logs are
JSON-stringified instead of coerced to `[object Object]`.
- Verified RED→GREEN locally.

Follow-up to #10856. Four correctness issues and their regression tests.
## Bugs fixed
### 1. ErrorOverlay model count reflected node selection
`useErrorGroups` exposed `filteredMissingModelGroups` under the public
name `missingModelGroups`. `ErrorOverlay.vue` read that alias to compute
its model count label, so selecting a node shrank the overlay total. The
overlay must always show the whole workflow's errors.
Exposed both shapes explicitly: `missingModelGroups` /
`missingMediaGroups` (unfiltered totals) and
`filteredMissingModelGroups` / `filteredMissingMediaGroups`
(selection-scoped). `TabErrors.vue` destructures the filtered variant
with an alias.

### 2. Bypass → un-bypass dropped url/hash metadata
Realtime `scanNodeModelCandidates` only reads widget values, so
un-bypass produced a fresh candidate without the url that
`enrichWithEmbeddedMetadata` had previously attached from
`graphData.models`. `MissingModelRow`'s download/copy-url buttons
disappeared after a bypass/un-bypass cycle.
Added `enrichCandidateFromNodeProperties` that copies
`url`/`hash`/`directory` from the node's own `properties.models` — which
persists across mode toggles — into each scanned candidate. Applied to
every call site of the per-node scan. A later fix in the same branch
also enforces directory agreement to prevent a same-name /
different-directory collision from stamping the wrong metadata.

### 3. Initial full scan surfaced interior errors of a muted/bypassed
subgraph container
`scanAllModelCandidates`, `scanAllMediaCandidates`, and the JSON-based
missing-node scan only check each node's own mode. Interior nodes whose
parent container was bypassed passed the filter.
Added `isAncestorPathActive(rootGraph, executionId)` to
`graphTraversalUtil` and post-filter the three pipelines in `app.ts`
after the live rootGraph is configured. The filter uses the execution-ID
path (`"65:63"` → check node 65's mode) so it handles both
live-scan-produced and JSON-enrichment-produced candidates.

### 4. Bypassed subgraph entry re-surfaced interior errors
`useGraphNodeManager` replays `graph.onNodeAdded` for each existing
interior node when the Vue node manager initializes on subgraph entry.
That chain reached `scanSingleNodeErrors` via
`installErrorClearingHooks`' `onNodeAdded` override. Each interior
node's own mode was active, so the caller guards passed and the scan
re-introduced the error that the initial pipeline had correctly
suppressed.
Added an ancestor-activity gate at the top of `scanSingleNodeErrors`,
the single entry point shared by paste, un-bypass, subgraph entry, and
subgraph container activation. A later commit also hardens this guard
against detached nodes (null execution ID → skip) and applies the same
ancestor check to `isCandidateStillActive` in the realtime verification
callback.

## Tests
- 6 unit tests for `isAncestorPathActive` (root, active,
immediate-bypass, deep-nested mute, unresolvable ancestor, null
rootGraph)
- 4 unit tests for `enrichCandidateFromNodeProperties` (enrichment,
no-overwrite, name mismatch, directory mismatch)
- 1 unit test for `scanSingleNodeErrors` ancestor guard (subgraph entry
replaying onNodeAdded)
- 2 unit tests for `useErrorGroups` dual export + ErrorOverlay contract
- 4 E2E tests:
- ErrorOverlay model count stays constant when a node is selected (new
fixture `missing_models_distinct.json`)
- Bypass/un-bypass cycle preserves Copy URL button (uses
`missing_models_from_node_properties`)
- Loading a workflow with bypassed subgraph suppresses interior missing
model error (new fixture `missing_models_in_bypassed_subgraph.json`)
- Entering a bypassed subgraph does not resurface interior missing model
error (shares the above fixture)
`pnpm typecheck`, `pnpm lint`, 206 related unit tests passing.
## Follow-up
Several items raised by code review are deferred as pre-existing tech
debt or scope-avoided refactors. Tracked via comments on #11215 and
#11216.

Follows up on #10856.
## Summary
Muted and bypassed nodes are excluded from execution but were still
triggering missing model/media/node warnings. This PR makes the error
system mode-aware: muted/bypassed nodes no longer produce missing asset
errors, and all error lifecycle events (mode toggle, deletion, paste,
undo, tab switch) are handled consistently.
- Fixes Comfy-Org/ComfyUI#13256
## Behavioral notes
- **Tab switch overlay suppression (intentional)**: Switching back to a
workflow with missing assets no longer re-shows the error overlay. This
reverses the behavior introduced in #10190. The error state is still
restored silently in the errors tab — users can access it via the
properties panel without being interrupted by the overlay on every tab
switch.
## Changes
### 1. Scan filtering
- `scanAllModelCandidates`, `scanAllMediaCandidates`,
`scanMissingNodes`: skip nodes with `mode === NEVER || BYPASS`
- `collectMissingNodes` (serialized data): skip error reporting for
muted/bypassed nodes while still calling `sanitizeNodeName` for safe
`configure()`
- `collectEmbeddedModelsWithSource`: skip muted/bypassed nodes;
workflow-level `graphData.models` only create candidates when active
nodes exist
- `enrichWithEmbeddedMetadata`: filter unmatched workflow-level models
when all referencing nodes are inactive
### 2. Realtime mode change handling
- `useErrorClearingHooks.ts` chains `graph.onTrigger` to detect
`node:property:changed` (mode)
- Deactivation (active → muted/bypassed): remove missing
model/media/node errors for the node
- Activation (muted/bypassed → active): scan the node and add confirmed
errors, show overlay
- Subgraph container deactivation: remove all interior node errors
(execution ID prefix match)
- Subgraph container activation: scan all active interior nodes
recursively
- Subgraph interior mode change: resolve node via
`localGraph.getNodeById()` then compute execution ID from root graph
### 3. Node deletion
- `graph.onNodeRemoved`: remove missing model/media/node errors for the
deleted node
- Handle `node.graph === null` at callback time by using
`String(node.id)` for root-level nodes
### 4. Node paste/duplicate
- `graph.onNodeAdded`: scan via `queueMicrotask` (deferred until after
`node.configure()` restores widget values)
- Guard: skip during `ChangeTracker.isLoadingGraph` (undo/redo/tab
switch handled by pipeline)
- Guard: skip muted/bypassed nodes
### 5. Workflow tab switch optimization
- `skipAssetScans` option in `loadGraphData`: skip full pipeline on tab
switch
- Cache missing model/media/node state per workflow via
`PendingWarnings`
- `beforeLoadNewGraph`: save current store state to outgoing workflow's
`pendingWarnings`
- `showPendingWarnings`: restore cached errors silently (no overlay),
always sync missing nodes store (even when null)
- Preserve UI state (`fileSizes`, `urlInputs`) on tab switch by using
`setMissingModels([])` instead of `clearMissingModels()`
- `MissingModelRow.vue`: fetch file size on mount via
`fetchModelMetadata` memory cache
### 6. Undo/redo overlay suppression
- `silentAssetErrors` option propagated through pipeline →
`surfaceMissingModels`/`surfaceMissingMedia` `{ silent }` option
- `showPendingWarnings` `{ silent }` option for missing nodes overlay
- `changeTracker.ts`: pass `silentAssetErrors: true` on undo/redo
### 7. Error tab node filtering
- Selected node filters missing model/media card contents (not just
group visibility)
- `isAssetErrorInSelection`: resolve execution ID → graph node for
selection matching
- Missing nodes intentionally unfiltered (pack-level scope)
- `hasMissingMediaSelected` added to `RightSidePanel.vue` error tab
visibility
- Download All button: show only when 2+ downloadable models exist
### 8. New store functions
- `missingModelStore`: `addMissingModels`, `removeMissingModelsByNodeId`
- `missingMediaStore`: `addMissingMedia`, `removeMissingMediaByNodeId`
- `missingNodesErrorStore`: `removeMissingNodesByNodeId`
- `missingModelScan`: `scanNodeModelCandidates` (extracted single-node
scan)
- `missingMediaScan`: `scanNodeMediaCandidates` (extracted single-node
scan)
### 9. Test infrastructure improvements
- `data-testid` on `RightSidePanel.vue` tabs (`panel-tab-{value}`)
- Error-related TestIds moved from `dialogs` to `errorsTab` namespace in
`selectors.ts`
- Removed unused `TestIdValue` type
- Extracted `cleanupFakeModel` to shared `ErrorsTabHelper.ts`
- Renamed `openErrorsTabViaSeeErrors` → `loadWorkflowAndOpenErrorsTab`
- Added `aria-label` to pencil edit button and subgraph toggle button
## Test plan
### Unit tests (41 new)
- Store functions: `addMissing*`, `removeMissing*ByNodeId`
- `executionErrorStore`: `surfaceMissing*` silent option
- Scan functions: muted/bypassed filtering, `scanNodeModelCandidates`,
`scanNodeMediaCandidates`
- `workflowService`: `showPendingWarnings` silent, `beforeLoadNewGraph`
caching
### E2E tests (17 new in `errorsTabModeAware.spec.ts`)

## Summary
Consolidate duplicate `rgbToHSL` implementation — mask editor now uses
the shared `colorUtil.ts` version instead of its own copy.
## Changes
- Export `rgbToHsl` from `src/utils/colorUtil.ts` (was private)
- Replace 30-line local `rgbToHSL` in `useCanvasTools.ts` with a 2-line
wrapper that imports from `colorUtil.ts` and scales the return values
from 0-1 to degree/percentage
## Testing
### Automated
- All 176 existing tests pass (`colorUtil.test.ts` + `maskeditor/`
suite)
- No new tests needed — behavior is identical
### E2E Verification Steps
1. Open any image in the mask editor
2. Select the magic wand / color picker tool
3. Use HSL-based color matching — results should be identical to before
## Review Focus
The canonical `rgbToHsl` returns normalized 0-1 values while the mask
editor needs degree/percentage scale (h: 0-360, s: 0-100, l: 0-100). The
local wrapper handles this conversion.

## Summary
Three issues caused GLSL preview to diverge from backend results:
1. Uniform source resolution always read widgets[0] instead of using
link.origin_slot to select the correct widget. Added directValue
fallback for widgets not registered in widgetValueStore.
2. Hex color strings (e.g. "#45edf5") were coerced to 0 by Number().
Added hexToInt to colorUtil and used it in toNumber coercion.
3. Custom size_mode was ignored — preview always used upstream image
dimensions. Now checks size_mode widget first and respects "custom".

## Summary
Add missing delete and bookmark actions for user blueprints in the V2
node library sidebar, fixing parity with the V1 sidebar.
## Changes
- **What**:
- Add delete button (inline + context menu) for user blueprints in
`TreeExplorerV2Node` and `TreeExplorerV2`
- Extract `isUserBlueprint()` helper in `subgraphStore` for DRY usage
across V1/V2 sidebars

## Review Focus
- `isUserBlueprint` consolidates logic previously duplicated between
`NodeTreeLeaf` and the new V2 components
- Context menu guard `contextMenuNode?.data` prevents showing empty
menus
- Folder `@contextmenu` handler clears stale `contextMenuNode` to
prevent wrong actions

## Summary
- Convert `fromAny` → `fromPartial` in 7 test files where object
literals or interfaces are passed
- `fromPartial` type-checks the provided fields, unlike `fromAny` which
bypasses all checking (same as `as unknown as`)
- Class-based types (`LGraphNode`, `LGraph`) remain `fromAny` due to
shoehorn's `PartialDeep` incompatibility with class constructors
## Changes
- **Pure conversions** (all `fromAny` → `fromPartial`):
`domWidgetZIndex`, `matchPromotedInput`, `promotionUtils`,
`subgraphNavigationStore`
- **Mixed** (some converted, some kept): `promotedWidgetView`,
`widgetUtil`
- **Cleanup**: `nodeOutputStore` type param normalization

## Summary
- Replace all `as unknown as Type` assertions in 59 unit test files with
type-safe `@total-typescript/shoehorn` functions
- Use `fromPartial<Type>()` for partial mock objects where deep-partial
type-checks (21 files)
- Use `fromAny<Type>()` for fundamentally incompatible types: null,
undefined, primitives, variables, class expressions, and mocks with
test-specific extra properties that `PartialDeepObject` rejects
(remaining files)
- All explicit type parameters preserved so TypeScript return types are
correct
- Browser test `.spec.ts` files excluded (shoehorn unavailable in
`page.evaluate` browser context)
## Verification
- `pnpm typecheck` ✅
- `pnpm lint` ✅
- `pnpm format` ✅
- Pre-commit hooks passed (format + oxlint + eslint + typecheck)
- Migrated test files verified passing (ran representative subset)
- No test behavior changes — only type assertion syntax changed
- No UI changes — screenshots not applicable

## Summary
Migrate 13 component test files from @vue/test-utils to
@testing-library/vue as Phase 1 of incremental VTL adoption.
## Changes
- **What**: Rewrite 13 test files (88 tests) to use `render`/`screen`
queries, `userEvent` interactions, and `jest-dom` assertions. Add
`data-testid` attributes to 6 components for lint-clean icon/element
queries. Delete unused `src/utils/test-utils.ts`.
- **Dependencies**: `@testing-library/vue`,
`@testing-library/user-event`, `@testing-library/jest-dom` (installed in
Phase 0)
## Review Focus
- `data-testid` additions to component templates are minimal and
non-behavioral
- PrimeVue passthrough (`pt`) usage in UserAvatar.vue for icon testid
- 2 targeted `eslint-disable` in FormRadioGroup.test.ts where PrimeVue
places `aria-describedby` on wrapper div, not input

## Summary
Fix URI drops (e.g. dragging `<img>` thumbnails) onto Vue-rendered nodes
by letting unhandled drops bubble to the document-level `text/uri-list`
fallback in `app.ts`.
## Changes
- **What**: Removed unconditional `.stop` modifier from `@drop` in
`LGraphNode.vue`. `stopPropagation()` is now called conditionally — only
when `onDragDrop` returns `true` (file drop handled). Made `handleDrop`
synchronous since `onDragDrop` returns a plain boolean.
## Review Focus
The key insight is that `onDragDrop` (from `useNodeDragAndDrop`) returns
`false` synchronously for URI drags (no files in `DataTransfer`), so the
event must bubble to reach the document handler that fetches the URI.
The original `async` + `await` pattern would have deferred
`stopPropagation` past the synchronous propagation phase, so
`handleDrop` is now synchronous.

## Summary
Promoted primitive subgraph inputs (String, Int) render their link
anchor at the header position instead of the widget row. Renaming
subgraph input labels breaks the match entirely, causing connections to
detach from their widgets visually.
## Changes
- **What**: Fix widget-input slot positioning for promoted subgraph
inputs in both LiteGraph and Vue (Nodes 2.0) rendering modes
- `_arrangeWidgetInputSlots`: Removed Vue mode branch that skipped
setting `input.pos`. Promoted widget inputs aren't rendered as
`<InputSlot>` Vue components (NodeSlots filters them out), so
`input.pos` is the only position fallback
- `drawConnections`: Added pre-pass to arrange nodes with unpositioned
widget-input slots before link rendering. The background canvas renders
before the foreground canvas calls `arrange()`, so positions weren't set
on the first frame
- `SubgraphNode`: Sync `input.widget.name` with the display name on
label rename and initial setup. The `IWidgetLocator` name diverged from
`PromotedWidgetView.name` after rename, breaking all name-based
slot↔widget matching (`_arrangeWidgetInputSlots`, `getWidgetFromSlot`,
`getSlotFromWidget`)
## Review Focus
- The `_arrangeWidgetInputSlots` rewrite iterates `_concreteInputs`
directly instead of building a spread-copy map — simpler and avoids the
stale index issue
- `input.widget.name` is now kept in sync with the display name
(`input.label ?? subgraphInput.name`). This is a semantic shift from
using the raw internal name, but it's required for all name-based
matching to work after renames. The value is overwritten on deserialize
by `_setWidget` anyway
- The `_widget` fallback in `_arrangeWidgetInputSlots` is a safety net
for edge cases where the name still doesn't match (e.g., stale cache)

## Summary
Add Vue Testing Library (VTL) infrastructure and pilot-migrate
ComfyQueueButton.test.ts as Phase 0 of an incremental VTL adoption.
## Changes
- **What**: Install `@testing-library/vue`,
`@testing-library/user-event`, `@testing-library/jest-dom`, and
`eslint-plugin-testing-library`. Configure jest-dom matchers globally
via `vitest.setup.ts` and `tsconfig.json`. Create shared render wrapper
at `src/utils/test-utils.ts` (pre-configures PrimeVue, Pinia, i18n).
Migrate `ComfyQueueButton.test.ts` from `@vue/test-utils` to VTL. Add
warn-level `testing-library/*` ESLint rules for test files.
- **Dependencies**: `@testing-library/vue`,
`@testing-library/user-event`, `@testing-library/jest-dom`,
`eslint-plugin-testing-library`
## Review Focus
- `src/utils/test-utils.ts` — shared render wrapper typing approach
(uses `ComponentMountingOptions` from VTU since VTL's `RenderOptions`
requires a generic parameter)
- ESLint rules are all set to `warn` during migration to avoid breaking
existing VTU tests
- VTL coexists with VTU — no existing tests are broken

## Summary
Replace `app.rootGraph.getNodeById()` with `resolveNode()` so node
lookups search subgraphs, fixing broken image copy/paste and display for
nodes inside subgraphs.
## Changes
- **What**: Updated 7 call sites across 5 files to use `resolveNode()`
from `litegraphUtil.ts` instead of `app.rootGraph.getNodeById()`. The
`resolveNode` function already existed and searches both the root graph
and all subgraphs. Added a unit test verifying subgraph node resolution
in `nodeOutputStore`.
## Review Focus
The fix is mechanical — each call site simply swaps
`app.rootGraph?.getNodeById(id)` for `resolveNode(id)`. The
`resolveNode` utility iterates `graph.subgraphs` if the node is not
found in the root graph.

## Summary
Add structured preload error logging with Sentry context enrichment and
a user-facing toast notification when chunk loading fails (e.g. after a
deploy with new hashed filenames).
## Changes
- **`parsePreloadError` utility** (`src/utils/preloadErrorUtil.ts`):
Extracts structured info from `vite:preloadError` events — URL, file
type (JS/CSS/unknown), chunk name, and whether it looks like a hash
mismatch.
- **Sentry enrichment** (`src/App.vue`): Sets Sentry context and tags on
preload errors so they are searchable/filterable in the Sentry
dashboard.
- **User-facing toast**: Shows an actionable "please refresh" message
when a preload error occurs, across all distributions (cloud, desktop,
localhost).
- **Capture-phase resource error listener** (`src/App.vue`): Catches
CSS/script load failures that bypass `vite:preloadError` and reports
them to Sentry with the same structured context.
- **Unit tests** (`src/utils/preloadErrorUtil.test.ts`): 9 tests
covering URL parsing, chunk name extraction, hash mismatch detection,
and edge cases.
## Files Changed
| File | What |
|------|------|
| `src/App.vue` | Preload error handler + resource error listener |
| `src/locales/en/main.json` | Toast message string |
| `src/utils/preloadErrorUtil.ts` | `parsePreloadError()` utility |
| `src/utils/preloadErrorUtil.test.ts` | Unit tests |
## Review Focus
- Toast fires for all distributions (cloud/desktop/localhost) —
intentional so all users see stale chunk errors
- `parsePreloadError` is defensive — returns `unknown` for any field it
cannot parse
- Capture-phase listener filters to only `<script>` and `<link

## Summary
Automatically clears transient validation errors
(`value_bigger_than_max`, `value_smaller_than_min`, `value_not_in_list`,
`required_input_missing`) when the user modifies a widget value or
connects an input slot, so resolved errors don't linger in the error
panel. Also clears missing model state when the user changes a combo
widget value.
## Changes
- **`useNodeErrorAutoResolve` composable**: watches widget changes and
slot connections, clears matching errors via `executionErrorStore`
- **`executionErrorStore`**: adds `clearSimpleNodeErrors` and
`clearSimpleWidgetErrorIfValid` with granular per-slot error removal
- **`executionErrorUtil`**: adds `isValueStillOutOfRange` to prevent
premature clearing when a new value still violates the constraint
- **`graphTraversalUtil`**: adds `getExecutionIdFromNodeData` for
subgraph-aware execution ID resolution
- **`GraphCanvas.vue`**: fixes subgraph error key lookup by using
`getExecutionIdByNode` instead of raw `node.id`
- **`NodeWidgets.vue`**: wires up the new composable to the widget layer
- **`missingModelStore`**: adds `removeMissingModelByWidget` to clear
missing model state on widget value change
- **`useGraphNodeManager`**: registers composable per node
- **Tests**: 126 new unit tests covering error clearing, range
validation, and graph traversal edge cases

## Summary
Muted (NEVER mode) subgraph nodes throw "No inner node DTO found" during
prompt serialization because `resolveOutput()` falls through to subgraph
resolution for nodes whose inner DTOs were never registered.
## Changes
- **What**: Add early return in `ExecutableNodeDTO.resolveOutput()` for
`NEVER` mode nodes, matching the existing `BYPASS` mode guard. Add 5
tests covering muted, bypassed, and normal mode resolution.
## Review Focus
The fix is a single-line early return. The key insight is that
`graphToPrompt` in `executionUtil.ts` correctly skips `getInnerNodes()`
for muted/bypassed nodes, so their inner DTOs are never in the map — but
`resolveOutput()` was missing the corresponding guard for `NEVER` mode.

## Summary
When a workflow is loaded with missing models, users currently have no
way to identify or resolve them from within the UI. This PR adds a full
missing-model detection and resolution pipeline that surfaces missing
models in the Errors tab, allowing users to install or import them
without leaving the editor.
## Changes
### Missing Model Detection
- Scan all COMBO widgets across root graph and subgraphs for model-like
filenames during workflow load
- Enrich candidates with embedded workflow metadata (url, hash,
directory) when available
- Verify asset-supported candidates against the asset store
asynchronously to confirm installation status
- Propagate missing model state to `executionErrorStore` alongside
existing node/prompt errors
### Errors Tab UI — Model Resolution
- Group missing models by directory (e.g. `checkpoints`, `loras`, `vae`)
with collapsible category cards
- Each model row displays:
- Model name with copy-to-clipboard button
- Expandable list of referencing nodes with locate-on-canvas button
- **Library selector**: Pick an alternative from the user's existing
models to substitute the missing model with one click
- **URL import**: Paste a Civitai or HuggingFace URL to import a model
directly; debounced metadata fetch shows filename and file size before
confirming; type-mismatch warnings (e.g. importing a LoRA into
checkpoints directory) are surfaced with an "Import Anyway" option
- **Upgrade prompt**: In cloud environment, free-tier subscribers are
shown an upgrade modal when attempting URL import
- Separate "Import Not Supported" section for custom-node models that
cannot be auto-resolved
- Status card with live download progress, completion, failure, and
category-mismatch states
### Canvas Integration
- Highlight nodes and widgets that reference missing models with error
indicators
- Propagate missing-model badges through subgraph containers so issues
are visible at every graph level
### Code Cleanup
- Simplify `surfacePendingWarnings` in workflowService, remove stale
widget-detected model merging logic
- Add `flattenWorkflowNodes` utility to workflowSchema for traversing
nested subgraph structures
- Extract `MissingModelUrlInput`, `MissingModelLibrarySelect`,
`MissingModelStatusCard` as focused single-responsibility components
## Testing
- Unit tests for scan pipeline (`missingModelScan.test.ts`): enrichment,
skip-installed, subgraph flattening
- Unit tests for store (`missingModelStore.test.ts`): state management,
removal helpers
- Unit tests for interactions (`useMissingModelInteractions.test.ts`):
combo select, URL input, import flow, library confirm
- Component tests for `MissingModelCard` and error grouping
(`useErrorGroups.test.ts`)
- Updated `workflowService.test.ts` and `workflowSchema.test.ts` for new
logic
## Review Focus
- Missing model scan + enrichment pipeline in `missingModelScan.ts`
- Interaction composable `useMissingModelInteractions.ts` — URL metadata
fetch, library install, upload fallback
- Store integration and canvas-level error propagation

As a temporary fix for widgets being incorrectly hidden, #9669 allowed
all disabled widgets to be displayed.
This PR provides a more robust implementation to derive whether the
widget, as would be displayed from the root graph, is disabled.
Potential regression:
- Drag drop handlers are applied on node, not widgets. A subgraph
containing a "Load Image" node, does not allow dragging and dropping an
image onto the subgraphNode in order to load it. Because app mode
widgets would display from the original owning node prior to this PR,
these drag/drop handlers would apply. Placing "Load Image" nodes. I
believe this change makes behavior more consistent, but it warrants
consideration.

Add Storybook stories for WidgetInputText and WidgetTextarea, aligned
with the Figma Design System spec.
Task: COM-15821
## Summary
Add comprehensive Storybook stories for text widget components and
implement missing Figma design system variants for WidgetInputText.
## Changes
- **WidgetInputText component enhancements**:
- Add `size` prop (`medium` | `large`) matching Figma size variants
(32px / 40px)
- Add `invalid` prop with destructive border style per Figma Invalid
state
- Add `loading` prop showing spinning loader icon per Figma Status state
- Add hover background (`bg-component-node-widget-background-hovered`)
- Fix `readonly` not being applied from `widget.options.read_only`
- **WidgetTextarea component fixes**:
- Show copy button on hover for all states (not just read-only)
- Apply `text-component-node-foreground` token to copy icon
- Add hover background to wrapper
- **Storybook stories**:
- WidgetInputText: Default, Disabled, Invalid, Status, WithPlaceholder,
WithLabel stories
- WidgetTextarea: Default, Disabled, HiddenLabel, WithPlaceholder
stories
- Interactive controls for size, readOnly, disabled, invalid, loading
## Review Focus
- Figma alignment: size/invalid/loading/status variants for
WidgetInputText
- Copy icon color token (`text-component-node-foreground`) for
light/dark theme support
- `layoutWidget` computed pattern to merge `borderStyle` with invalid
state

## Summary
Implement 11 Figma design discrepancies for the Node Library sidebar and
V2 Node Search dialog, aligning the UI with the [Toolbox Figma
design](https://www.figma.com/design/xMFxCziXJe6Denz4dpDGTq/Toolbox?node-id=2074-21394&m=dev).
## Changes
- **What**: Sidebar: reorder tabs (All/Essentials/Blueprints), rename
Custom→Blueprints, uppercase section headers, chevron-left of folder
icon, bookmark-on-hover for node rows, filter dropdown with checkbox
items, sort labels (Categorized/A-Z) with label-left/check-right layout,
hide section headers in A-Z mode. Search dialog: expand filter chips
from 3→6, add Recents and source categories to sidebar, remove "Filter
by" label. Pull foundation V2 components from merged PR #8548.
- **Dependencies**: Depends on #8987 (V2 Node Search) and #8548
(NodeLibrarySidebarTabV2)
## Review Focus
- Filter dropdown (`filterOptions`) is UI-scaffolded but not yet wired
to filtering logic (pending V2 integration)
- "Recents" category currently returns frequency-based results as
placeholder until a usage-tracking store is implemented
- Pre-existing type errors from V2 PR dependencies not in the base
commit (SearchBoxV2, usePerTabState, TextTicker, getProviderIcon,
getLinkTypeColor, SidebarContainerKey) are expected and will resolve
when rebased onto main after parent PRs land

## Summary
Address several small CodeRabbit-filed issues: clipboard simplification,
queue getter cleanup, pointer handling, and test parameterization.
## Changes
- **What**:
- Simplify `useCopyToClipboard` by using VueUse's built-in `legacy` mode
instead of a manual `document.execCommand` fallback
- Remove `queueIndex` getter alias from `TaskItemImpl`, replace all
usages with `job.priority`
- Add `pointercancel` event handling and try-catch around
`releasePointerCapture` in `useNodeResize` to prevent stuck resize state
- Parameterize repetitive `getNodeProvider` tests in
`modelToNodeStore.test.ts` using `it.each()`
- Fixes#9024
- Fixes#7955
- Fixes#7323
- Fixes#8703
## Review Focus
- `useCopyToClipboard`: VueUse's `legacy: true` enables the
`execCommand` fallback internally — verify browser compat is acceptable
- `useNodeResize`: cleanup logic extracted into shared function used by
both `pointerup` and `pointercancel`
