System
Problem
After updating to ComfyUI 0.35.0, ComfyUI failed during startup inside
comfy_aimdo.control.init().The traceback ended with:
This occurred before custom nodes were involved.
Interesting detail
The installed package already reported:
I force-reinstalled the same version:
After reinstalling the same version, this test succeeded:
This suggests the Python wrapper and native library may have become mismatched during the update/install process.
Additional behavior
After repairing AIMDO, ComfyUI 0.35.0 could reach server startup when launched directly in safe mode, but Comfy Desktop still failed to complete startup normally.
I then performed a completely clean standalone installation of ComfyUI 0.35.0 and still had startup/loading problems.
I installed ComfyUI 0.34.6 as another clean standalone installation on the same computer with the same GPU and Desktop application.
0.34.6 works normally.
Its working stack reports:
The 0.34.6 installation repeatedly passes clean safe-mode startup tests and detects the RTX 5070 Ti correctly.
Reproduction / comparison
Both were tested on the same Windows installation and RTX 5070 Ti.
Workaround
Rolling back to ComfyUI 0.34.6 has restored normal operation.
I can provide full startup logs or test additional AIMDO builds if useful.
I am not certain whether the remaining 0.35.0 startup behavior is caused specifically by AIMDO, the 0.35.0 dependency bundle, or Desktop integration, but the initial missing native symbol appears to be a concrete packaging/version-consistency issue.
