Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

When trying to install the latest version, the one before aswell, I get this error no matter where I try to set the install directory
It only happens with the new install process, before that update never got any errors.
Any help would be welcome. Thanks!

Hi there, this error indicates that you do not have powershell.exe in your PATH environment var. Please see:
https://github.com/Comfy-Org/desktop/issues/584#issuecomment-2567093032
If this does not resolve the issue, please let us know.
@deltaminimal commented on GitHub (Jan 21, 2025):
PowerShell was installed, and the path was correct. However, I had the "__PSLockDownPolicy" variable enabled, which restricts PowerShell usage to Constrained Language mode. Deleting that variable resolved the issue. I'm curious why this wasn't a problem before with older versions of ComfyUI Desktop; I probably lack the necessary knowledge to understand it fully. Perhaps something in the installation process has changed that requires PowerShell to be used differently. Thank you for your help and the link; I couldn't have solved it on my own.

Ah, thank you for letting us know! I had actually wondered if constrained language mode would impact the library that handles this.
We were previously using an older version of
systeminformation, which used WMIC for some commands. Microsoft has deprecated WMIC, however. It's there if you upgrade from an old version, is in your SOE, or is added as an optional package.So we can no longer use WMIC, and are left with PS CimInfo cmdlets - which may be getting blocked.
