Prerequisites
Problem Statement
Proposed Solution
The update is handled with a custom handler, having an in-app toast or something else other than todesktop's default new window.
Potential workflow
Impact Level
Low (Minor enhancement)
Alternatives Considered
No response
Additional information
It's odd because I remember writing the custom update handler as a toast, but maybe it was removed?
Or maybe that was only the custom update handler for when you checked for updates?
Maybe both can be merged together? Like how VSCode(-alikes) handles updates.
Also, I think this also managed to pop in front of a full screened application.
As crazy as this sounds, I swear it happened, but I also don't think Windows would ever allow this, and no other app I've used managed to do what this update prompt did.
