Hi, @webfiltered. I'm Dosu (https://dosu.dev), and I'm helping the desktop team manage their backlog and am marking this issue as stale.

Issue Summary:

  • You suggested improving error handling for the "Torch not compiled with CUDA enabled" issue.
  • Proposed enhancements include adding a CPU flag option, automatic server restart, and non-modal notifications if no active window is present.
  • The goal is to provide clearer user feedback when the server fails due to Torch configuration.
  • There has been no further activity or comments on this issue since it was opened.

Next Steps:

  • Please let me know if this issue is still relevant with the latest version of the desktop app by commenting here.
  • If I don’t hear back within 7 days, I will automatically close this issue.

Thanks for your understanding and contribution!
