The error
'LTXVPreprocess' object has no attribute 'preprocess'is not caused by the ComfyUI desktop app itself, but by the LTXV custom node (ComfyUI-LTXVideo) or its compatibility with the updated ComfyUI core. The desktop app only manages launching and setup; it does not implement or change Python backend node APIs likeLTXVPreprocess—any missing attribute errors originate in the custom node or backend, not the desktop wrapper.There are no migration notes, release notes, or support threads in the desktop repo or official docs that mention this error or breaking changes affecting LTXV after the update. The most likely cause is that the LTXV node version you have is not compatible with the new ComfyUI core, or the
preprocessmethod was removed, renamed, or refactored in a recent LTXV update.The recommended next steps are: check the LTXV node's own repository for recent changes to the
LTXVPreprocessclass, especially regarding thepreprocessmethod; review its release notes or issues for compatibility guidance with ComfyUI core v0.3.63; and if you don't find public guidance, reach out to the LTXV node maintainer with your error details and environment info. This is a node-specific implementation issue, not a desktop app bug.For general troubleshooting, updating or reinstalling the LTXV node via ComfyUI Manager sometimes resolves these issues if a compatible version is available. If not, you may need to wait for an update from the node author or consider reverting to the previous working version of ComfyUI desktop if your workflow depends on LTXV.

Thanks. How to revert to the previous working version of ComfyUI desktop?
@dosubot[bot] commented on GitHub (Oct 8, 2025):
To revert to a previous version of ComfyUI Desktop on macOS, uninstall the current app by deleting ComfyUI from your Applications folder. If you want a clean slate, also remove
~/Library/Application Support/ComfyUIto clear user data and settings docs.Next, download the installer for the older version you want (such as v0.4.76) from the GitHub Releases page or any archived installer link you have. The official download link always points to the latest release, so for older versions, use the Releases page.
Install the older version by dragging the app into your Applications folder. During setup, you can migrate your user files and custom nodes, but you may need to manually reinstall or update custom nodes if they don’t work as expected after downgrading docs.
If you have a backup of your previous installation directory, restoring it will also revert your app, settings, and custom nodes thread.
For more details, see the ComfyUI Desktop User Guide.

v0.5.1(core v.0.3.64) fixed the issue. Thanks a ton for the prompt fix.
