Hi @starwishzzgg! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the desktop team.
The most common reasons the MacOS ARM64 desktop app doesn't launch are: system incompatibility, missing dependencies, network issues during setup, permission problems, or database initialization failures. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot:
Check compatibility: Make sure you’re on an Apple Silicon Mac (M1/M2/M3) and your macOS version is supported. If the app icon shows a prohibition sign, your system version isn’t compatible docs.
Reset the Python environment: Go to your ComfyUI installation directory, delete the
.venvfolder, and relaunch the app. This forces a rebuild of the environment and often resolves launch issues issue.Manual dependency install: If the app still doesn’t launch, open Terminal, activate the virtual environment, and run:
This fixes incomplete setups issue.
Check permissions: Ensure your install and user directories (like
~/Documents/ComfyUI/user) have read/write permissions issue.Database path issue: If you see errors about failing to open the database file, the app may be trying to write to a read-only path inside the app bundle. You can work around this by configuring the backend launch arguments to use a writable path (see
Comfy.Server.LaunchArgsin the app config) issue.Network problems: The app needs to download Python and dependencies during setup. If you’re in a region with restricted access to GitHub, select a download mirror during installation or try a clean uninstall/reinstall docs, issue.
Logs for diagnosis: Check
main.log(Electron process) andcomfyui.log(core ComfyUI) in your install or user directory for error messages. You can also launch the app from Terminal to see real-time output docs.If none of these steps work, a full uninstall and reinstall (with a clean, empty install directory and stable network) is recommended docs. If you get specific error messages or logs, share them for more targeted help.
To reply, just mention @dosu.
Docs are dead. Just use Dosu.

there is no comfyui folder, because I haven't finished the installation, so your all resolution won't work.
I closed the issue by mistake, please help me to change the status to open...
