App Version
The firs character typed into the "IP address field of the Host: The IP address to listen on", it immediately triggers the Review Changes/Restart Dialog. The only way to change the IP address is to paste it in.
The App version is : ComfyUI_desktop v0.8.2
Platform: MacOS Sonoma
(If the pop-up to select version in the git bug report dialog is supposed to allow entry or selection of a version, it doesn't)
Expected Behavior
To be able to type in an ip address
Actual Behavior
Immediately triggers the Review Changes/Restart Dialog
Steps to Reproduce
Type into the "IP address field of the Host: The IP address to listen on" field in settings.

Hi @SquishedSquirrel! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the desktop team.
This bug isn't documented in the official docs or existing issues, but it's likely caused by how the settings UI handles input events for the IP address field. The code that triggers the Review Changes/Restart Dialog lives in the UI layer, which isn't part of the public desktop repo, so it's not possible to confirm exactly why typing triggers the dialog immediately. The main process only shows the dialog when the renderer requests a restart, so the problem is almost certainly in the event handling or validation logic of the settings form.
There’s no built-in fix or recovery mode for this. As a workaround, you can paste the full IP address or manually edit the settings JSON file if needed. If you need to recover from a broken state, editing the
comfy.settings.jsonfile and setting the IP back to a valid value (like127.0.0.1) is the only documented method right now (related issue). It would be helpful for maintainers to review the bundled UI package for event handling or validation logic that might be triggering the dialog too early, especially on macOS. This bug should be documented for future prioritization.

Docs are dead. Just use Dosu.
