After updating to Comfy Desktop and migrating from my previous ComfyUI setup, I noticed an issue with wildcard detection.
I have a wildcard folder with 70 files, but only 6 are being detected and shown in Comfy Desktop. The rest are not appearing at all, even though the files are still present in the folder.
Wildcard folder path:
D:\comfyUi models\custom_nodes\comfyui-impact-pack\wildcards
To test this, I also created a new folder inside the same path, but it is not being detected or displayed either.
The migration process completed successfully with no errors, and the directories seem to have been transferred correctly. However, after the update, most wildcards are no longer being recognized or indexed by the system.
@ZanozaUnc commented on GitHub (Jun 9, 2026):
I also tested further: I deleted one of the 6 wildcards that were actually being detected, and after that it disappeared from the list as expected. So the system does track changes for those few detected entries, but still does not pick up the rest of the wildcard files in the folder.
