Whenever we cancel and want to swipe again, we have to go left one then go right.
Would it be possible to make the swipe animation wait until the user presses Save/Discard/Cancel? Alternatively, go back 1 after a cancel?

Unlikely. The prompt is assembled when the swipe animation has already completed. It's impossible for an extension to change that.

This is a problem with Sillytavern itself. I see no value increase for the user by this behavior of receiving an empty reply when the reply generation is cancelled. It would make sense in those cases to display the previous reply in my opinion. I brought this up before.

Actually it does seem to be fixed right now, don't remember since when. Hitting cancel after swipe arrow rolls back to swipe n / n.

Are there other scenarios where the swipe number is left at n+1 / n?

Oh, nice. I haven't properly used Sillytavern in a while since I am working on my extension. I don't know. Props to the devs then!

This was fixed in the core code, not the extension. But anyway, the outcome if the same.
