I was wondering if there's a way to configure the hires option on the menu or configs?
The default config is really bad. How can I use a custom settings for it?

You didn't specify whether you're referring to local or remote SD generation, so I'll answer for both:

Built-in SD generation (not using AUTOMATIC1111) doesn't support hi-res fixes and/or facial restoration. We're limited to the functionality the standard diffuser library pipe offers. Adding any more SD functionality is out of the scope of this project, we're not aiming to recreate the SD Web UI.
AUTOMATIC1111 hi-res settings are passed to the API here: https://github.com/SillyTavern/SillyTavern-extras/blob/main/server.py#L371 If you are unsatisfied with the default values and can come up with more sensible defaults - let me know, I'll change them.
