Is your feature request related to a problem? If so, please describe.
I have the full KDE Plasma environment installed, a Niri-based environment for RAM conservation which is my daily driver, and XFCE worst-case scenario fallback. This means I have Konsole, Kitty, Alacritty, and XFCE Terminal installed.
$TERMINALis unset on my machine as it's non-standard. As such, the launcher manually resolves and prioritise Konsole over others.Describe the solution you'd like
I would like having an option to set a preferred terminal manually in the launcher such that the resolution order goes:
$TERMINAL, manually chosen, auto resolution.Describe alternatives you've considered
I could have just set
$TERMIINALand move on, but from my PoV, relying on non-standard convention is flaky. Detecting the parent terminal of the launcher is...a choice, given that users tend to not switch terminal at a whim, but I feel that the implementation can be hacky.Additional context
