Describe the bug
When split tunneling is enabled with a list of griffin.ru domains (via custom JSON file griffini_amnezia.json or site rules), playing any episode on https://griffini.ru still triggers a geo-restriction error in the video player:

"Контент недоступен в вашем регионе (AE). Пожалуйста, используйте VPN или смените страну."

The site continues to detect VPN usage (or inconsistent routing), and the episode does not play. This happens even though:

  • VPN is connected to a self-hosted server in the Netherlands
  • Split tunneling is configured for griffini.ru domains
  • The goal is to route the necessary traffic through the VPN so the site works correctly

To Reproduce

  1. Go to https://griffini.ru
  2. In AmneziaVPN enable split tunneling and add all griffin.ru-related domains (using griffini_amnezia.json or equivalent site-based rules).
  3. Connect to the VPN server.
  4. Play any episode.
  5. The video player shows the region/VPN detection error and playback fails.

Expected behavior
Split tunneling should properly route all required traffic for griffin.ru (including subdomains, APIs, video CDNs and streaming endpoints) through the VPN tunnel. The site should then work without triggering the geo-restriction or VPN detection.

Actual behavior
The geo-restriction error persists. It looks like not all necessary connections are being routed through the VPN (possibly because the site uses many additional domains/IPs for video delivery that are not covered by the current split tunneling rules).

Log files
AmneziaVPN (client log).log
AmneziaVPN (service log).log

Screenshots
Attached (shows the video player error while VPN is connected and split tunneling is enabled for griffini.ru domains).
Image

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 11 25H2 (build 26200.8737)
  • Version: 4.8.19.0

Additional context

  • VPN type: Self-hosted server (Netherlands)
  • The website hosts a large collection of Family Guy episodes dubbed in Russian.
  • I have not tested this on other websites.
  • This may be related to how site-based split tunneling resolves domains to IPs (only one IP per domain, no automatic updates, etc.).

@Avazbek22 commented on GitHub (Jul 19, 2026):

but what if the site there accesses another cdn, for example? and there is still such a problem with the site: match.tv
