Describe the bug
I am experiencing two critical issues on Fedora Linux:

  1. Connection hang after sleep: When the system wakes up from sleep/suspend, AmneziaVPN fails to reconnect automatically. To reconnect manually, I have to click "Disconnect" at least twice because the first click hangs. The log shows routing and DNS flush errors during this process (Failed to clear saved routes and Failed to flush DNS).
  2. GUI disappears / fails to restore: The application runs in the background, but the GUI window refuses to open from the tray icon. The log indicates a missing Qt6 Wayland platform plugin in the package.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Connect to VPN on Fedora (Wayland session).
  2. Put the PC to sleep/suspend.
  3. Wake up the PC.
  4. The connection is broken, and trying to disconnect hangs on the first click. You have to click "Disconnect" multiple times to clear the routing and DNS state.
  5. Try to open the GUI from the tray — it fails to restore or open the main window.

Expected behavior

  1. The VPN should either automatically reconnect after sleep, or gracefully allow a single-click disconnect/reconnect.
  2. The GUI should restore properly on Wayland without throwing missing plugin errors.

Log files
I have attached the full log file (amnezia_log.txt) below. It covers the full cycle: startup, sleep, wakeup, hanging manual disconnects, and a final successful reconnect.

Screenshots
None.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Fedora Linux 44 (Workstation Edition) (x86_64), GNOME (Wayland session)
  • Version: 4.8.21.0 (72ee32a)

Smartphone (please complete the following information):
None.

Server (please complete the following information):
None (issue is purely client-side).

Additional context
The VPN protocol used is AmneziaWG (amnezia-awg). Running with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb helps to bypass the GUI Wayland crash, but the routing/DNS issue after sleep remains.
