Describe the bug
Nvidia Shadowplay recognizes “Amnezia VPN” as a game and starts recording it

Expected behavior
I expect that the program will not be recognized as a game, and will not be recorded

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Version 22H2
  • Nvidia Driver 561.09
  • Nvidia App ver 10.0.3.152

Additional context
I use Nvidia Shadowplay all the time, but when “Amnezia VPN” is open (even in the tray) Shadowplay recognizes the program as a game and starts recording it. This is very annoying, because only one game can be recorded, and with Amnezia VPN constantly open, the entire recording priority goes to it.
In addition, since the program is open on a permanent basis, temporary files are being written all the time, which wastes SSD resources and just creates an unnecessary load.
Of course, you can simply disable Shadowplay when you are not playing games, but it's not a solution, it's a crutch.

Can you add Amnezia to the blacklist? As I know Nvidia App has application library where you can customize settings e.t.c. Try to delete Amnezia from here or smh

An app can be added, but there is not and never has been an exclusion list.
Don't forget, Nvidia is a small indie company.

Apparently they didn't count on anyone going to play a VPN client.
