Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/amnezia-vpn/amnezia-client/issues/1732

Useful for hiding VPS IP address and additional privacy.

Similar to https://xtls.github.io/en/document/level-2/warp.html for Xray, but should work for all other protocol types.

Can be implemented as an additional service (like Amnezia DNS), which the user installs at his own discretion.

@chykon commented on GitHub (Apr 12, 2026):

This is especially relevant given recent news regarding VPN usage monitoring (it will be possible to mask the exit IP to prevent the server hosting the VPN from being blocked) and international traffic fees on client networks (it will be possible to deploy a VPN with a Russian hosting provider and wrap all traffic in WARP - therefore, with this approach, there will be no international traffic fees).

To prevent MITM attacks (especially when using Russian hosting providers), ideally, it would be best to wrap all traffic in WARP directly on the client device and then route it to your VPN server. However, this approach is not universal: for example, it will work with the AmneziaVPN client, but will not work with the AWG client. The choice of WARP-fed traffic should be made an option: on the client or on the server (the default).
