I have the same issue but not only on arch, but also on debian. The same config works like magic on android, but doesn't work in the desktop. It works on windows as well. The traffic seems to not be able to cross the interface in the case of linux.

changing the nameserver address in /etc/resolv.conf to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 might help. It has in my case. @galtsevt
