Describe the bug
Intermittent internet connectivity issues when using “Tunneling by sites” mode with a large imported IPv4 CIDR list.
After importing an IP list and enabling site-based tunneling, the internet connection periodically breaks until the VPN is reconnected.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Deploy a self-hosted Amnezia VPN server (Xray).
  2. Use Amnezia VPN client on Windows.
  3. Export service IP lists (YouTube, Discord, JetBrains, ChatGPT) from https://iplist.opencck.org/ru/ in Amnezia IPv4 (CIDR) format.
  4. Import the list into the client with replacement.
  5. Enable “Tunneling by sites” mode.
  6. Use the internet normally for some time.

Observed result:

  • Internet connection periodically breaks.
  • Telegram cannot connect to servers.
  • YouTube opens a video page but does not start playback.
  • Windows Start Menu freezes when typing in search.
  • Reconnecting to VPN temporarily fixes the issue.

The problem reproduces consistently and was also observed in several previous client versions.

Expected behavior
Stable internet connection when using site-based tunneling, regardless of the size of the imported IP list.
No need to reconnect VPN to restore connectivity.

Log files
I am ready to provide logs.
Please advise:

  • Which logs are required (client/server)?
  • Where exactly to get them in Amnezia VPN (paths, debug mode, etc.).

Screenshots
Not applicable.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 11 25H2 (build 26200.7623)
  • Version: Amnezia VPN client 4.8.12.9 (commit f737928, 27.01.2026)

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Not used

Server (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Ubuntu (approximately recent LTS, exact version unknown at the moment), UPD: Ubuntu 22.04
  • Protocol: Xray

Network / DNS

  • System DNS: ISP DNS
  • Browser DNS: Cloudflare (1.1.1.1)
  • The issue also occurred before switching browser DNS to Cloudflare.

Additional context

  • Imported IP list file: ip-list.json (attached).
  • The issue might be related to a large number of IP ranges, but it is unclear whether this is a limitation, misconfiguration, or a bug.
  • Please advise if there are known limits or recommended practices for large IP lists in tunneling-by-sites mode.

@DaddyWesker commented on GitHub (Feb 5, 2026):

I have similar issue with drops in connection using xray amnezia vpn on my vps, though reconnecting to vpn doesn't help. Only restart of vps. Though I'm not using tunneling by sites.
