I'm trying to set up kernel backed for amnezia wg android v1.1.1.1.
I've successfully built kernel module, loaded it.
Could switch it on in app.
But when I try to enable any tunnel I immediately get
There's nothing in
/data/data/org.amnezia.awg/code_cache/binI also built awg-tools and put wg/wg-quick there (as in original wireguard) with no effect. (also set up chmod and chcon)
Renamed wg->awg wg_quick->awg_quick with not effect.
strace shows that it doesn't even try to open any files when I press tunnel enable

@bol-van commented on GitHub (Sep 20, 2026):
Checked on the latest version of the 3.1.x kernel module and application - v3.1.20260813.
backend of the kernel is seen, turned on, but when trying to raise the tunnel "required tools not found"
judging by strace, there are no exec attempts, although the log says "executing: awg show......."
apparently this execute is virtual from the built-in libs
kernel 4.9. had to do some compat magic to make the module compile.
module loads, ip link type amneziawg rises, awg from amneziawg-tools correctly shows the interface parameters
kernel backend seem to be broken in this version
