Is it possible to run amneziawg-go as client (peer) connecting to amneziawg/wireguard server?

Yes, that's what Gluetun does
https://github.com/qdm12/gluetun/blob/master/internal/amneziawg/run.go
Although it's a bit tighly integrated with it, it's not meant as an easy to use Go library. But I guess you can port it.
