Upgraded system today, amneziawg-dkms fails to install and is now non-functional:
Mentioned logs below:
Trying to start service:
Installing from https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/amnezia/ppa/ubuntu .
@Koguni31 commented on GitHub (Oct 3, 2025):
Have the same problem. amneziawg dkms have broken with latest update on Ubuntu 24.04.3 - module not compiling. Used https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/amnezia/ppa/ubuntu to install.
@Koguni31 commented on GitHub (Oct 3, 2025):
amneziawg metapackage now fails to build with "Error! The directory /var/lib/dkms/amneziawg/2.0.0/source does not appear to have module source located within it.".
@lilalkor commented on GitHub (Oct 4, 2025):
Same issue for me on Ubuntu 24.04. As a workaround I've just copied source files from the previous location:
Version used, to be clear:
Basically, the module version was changed to 2.0.0, but it was either not intended to happen, or was not done correctly.

Hello everyone,
As @fukc-gihtub properly mentioned, this is the issue of the different repo,
amneziawg-linux-kernel-module, that has already fixed. Once PPA is updated (sometimes it takes up to ~24h) it should be working well on ubuntu 22.04
