By default this client stores everything under %ProgramFiles%\AmneziaWG\Data and encrypts saved tunnel configs with Windows DPAPI, which ties them to the current Windows user account/machine. That's fine for a normal installed app, but makes it awkward to run the client from a USB stick / a folder you move between machines, since configs wouldn't decrypt on a different machine or user account, and nothing should be written outside the app's own folder.
This is a guide for building a portable variant instead: everything (config, log) lives in a Data\ folder next to amneziawg.exe, and configs are stored unencrypted (plain text) so they're portable across machines.
