Hey, I just tried the new 1.5.0 version on my phone. First, thanks for all your work on this app! I'm having trouble with adblocking on sites like Amazon and Reddit. I've added some blocklists that work fine with uBlock in other browsers, but it's still not blocking all ads. Is this because it's webview-based, or is it a bug? Thanks again.

@UserInProgress
I might pin this issue because other users may wonder the same. I also thought about giving some more information in the app where you configure the filter lists, but I suppose most users are not too happy about static wall of text...

You are right, there are limitations as long as we are WebView-based, and the app certainly does not block things nearly as good as uBlock. It is not only about filter lists, you need certain APIs to effectively detect and block unwanted stuff. See also the Manifest V2 vs Manifest V3 discussions on Desktop Chrome: You may use the same block lists but the old API was way more powerful.

TL;DR: I know the adblocking is not perfect, and while I am not an expert on adblocking (also, I did not implement it myself, I am using a library for it), in my opinion you cannot get much better on a WebView-based app.
