Does 3fs have some common file system features, such as file snapshot, directory quota. Since the public documents are relatively few, I have not found the relevant function introduction.

No, 3FS currently does not provide features like snapshots or quotas.

We provide commands to dump metadata into Parquet files. You can use dump-inodes and dump-dentries commands to export the metadata. If you want to analyze storage usage, you can run SQL queries against the dumped data to calculate space consumption by user or directory, and then you can notify users to reduce space usage.

thanks for your reply, does this mean that 3fs currently only provides basic file storage functions and does not offer other advanced features. If so, do you have plans to add new features to it ?

We currently have no plans to support advanced features like quotas or snapshots. Besides the POSIX file interface, we provide basic trash bin functionality and a CLI for quick directory deletion.

thanks a lot. I read about hf3fs_cli and have a question. Can only files or directories deleted by hf3fs_cli go to the Recycle Bin ? Can I enter the trash bin for files deleted by posix file interface ?

Only files or directories deleted through hf3fs_cli will go to the Recycle Bin. Files deleted using the POSIX interface are immediately deleted.
