Title:
[Accessibility] DeepSeek web interface is not optimized for screen reader users – please follow WCAG & ARIA standards

To the Respected DeepSeek Team,

Greetings and utmost respect.

As a screen reader user (using software such as NVDA or VoiceOver to interact with digital environments), after returning to the DeepSeek platform following a long absence, I find it necessary to submit this technical report and request for accessibility improvements.

Unfortunately, the DeepSeek web interface is still not optimized for screen reader users. Many interface components lack proper ARIA labels, appropriate accessibility relationships, and correct semantic structure. These shortcomings lead to the following issues:

Significant difficulty and fatigue when navigating with keyboard and screen reader

Lack of proper focus management across different sections, especially the conversation area and buttons

Dynamic states such as loading, receiving responses, errors, and notifications not being announced

Disruption when working with the text editor, sending messages, and reading responses smoothly

Since AI services must be usable by all users without exception, I respectfully request that improvements be made to the DeepSeek user interface based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 at Level AA) and proper implementation of ARIA standards.

Key areas requiring improvement are as follows:

Assigning appropriate roles and ARIA labels to all interactive elements including buttons, input fields, and dialogue boxes

Proper focus management when opening modals, changing page states, sending and receiving messages

Making dynamic states (e.g., "typing", "loading", "connection error") identifiable using aria-live regions

Using proper semantic structure based on standard HTML elements such as

Specifically, after the proposed improvements are implemented, I am prepared to participate in real-world accessibility testing with actual screen readers, providing detailed, step-by-step feedback to ensure that the user interface becomes fully accessible, usable, and barrier-free for the screen reader user community as well as users with special needs. The ultimate goal of all development teams is to satisfy diverse user communities with different needs. Therefore, I firmly believe that through close collaboration between screen reader users and the DeepSeek technical team, we can achieve an inclusive and equitable environment in which no user is deprived of benefiting from DeepSeek's AI capabilities due to their method of interacting with technology. This request is made with utmost respect and out of genuine concern for improving user experience for the screen reader user community and individuals with special needs. Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude once again to the respected DeepSeek team for your attention to this critical matter. I hope this issue will be prioritized in development and that, through our mutual cooperation, we will witness an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone. With sincere thanks and profound respect, A DeepSeek Screen Reader User
