I notice that there is a key in configuration named "only_chunk_engine", and the default value is false.
@ahan-io commented on GitHub (Mar 6, 2025):
It seems like that there are two versions of "Chunk Engine", one is in C++ and other is in Rust, which one is recommended? And why?
@SF-Zhou commented on GitHub (Mar 7, 2025):
In reality, the C++ version was developed first, but some design flaws were identified during practical use. The deployment guide recommends using the Rust version.
@cbsheng commented on GitHub (Mar 7, 2025):
Could you please let me know what design issues were encountered in the C++ version?
@SF-Zhou commented on GitHub (Mar 7, 2025):
For the C++ version, the space released by the target after deletion operations cannot be directly utilized by other targets on the same disk.
@ahan-io commented on GitHub (Mar 11, 2025):
It seem more like a bug which can be fixed in C++ version.
