I successfully compiled the usrbio plugin shared object file following the instructions in the README. However, when executing fio, the plugin is recognized as a synchronous I/O engine, which forcibly overrides parameters like iodepth to 1 and prevents achieving full performance.

fio -direct=1 -ioengine=external:/{path}/hf3fs_usrbio.so -iodepth=1024 -iodepth_batch_submit=1024 -iodepth_batch_complete_min=1024 -iodepth_batch_complete_max=1024 -rw=randwrite -bs=4k 
-size=1G -numjobs=32 -runtime=30 -time_based=1 -group_reporting  -name=rand_write_testing_fuse3 -mountpoint=/3fs/mp/
