Originally created by @PrinceSajjadHussain on GitHub (Jun 19, 2025).
The `setuptools.find_packages` function in `setup.py` is used to automatically discover packages to include in the distribution. However, for a directory to be recognized as a package, it must contain an `__init__.py` file. The `deep_ep` directory, and any subdirectories intended to be packages (such as within `deep_ep`), may be missing these files. Adding `__init__.py` (even empty ones) to those directories will ensure that setuptools correctly identifies them as packages.Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/deepseek-ai/DeepEP/issues/228

github.com/deepseek-ai/DeepEP@9d4f7ef8ee/deep_ep/init.py#L1already has
__init__.pyfile in here.
