in web version of DeepSeek v3 in web version from chat.deepseek.com i can see two options:
are these two options in open source version?
@jasonfish568 commented on GitHub (Jan 3, 2025):
Wondering this as well.
I couldn't find any API documentation regarding these two features.
@KirariSpark commented on GitHub (Jan 3, 2025):
deepthink is another model: deepseek r1, it's still a lite version but will be open source in the future. search should ba available in open source version but needs extra configurations I guess(for example llm-web-search extension in obbabooga webui gives llms the ability to access the internet). but I don't have powerful PCs so I don't know whether it actually works or not.
@jasonfish568 commented on GitHub (Jan 3, 2025):
Thanks for the information on deepthink.
For the search function, I don't think this repo(is this just a demo?) has included anything regarding search. I totally agree with you that more config params need to be insert, but yet it seems too early for us to ever think about it.
@Morrigan-Ship commented on GitHub (Jan 3, 2025):
may be add deepthink and search open source in future?
@KirariSpark commented on GitHub (Jan 5, 2025):
according to the information I searched for, deepthink will be open source, but I don't know whether search will be or not.
@mowentian commented on GitHub (Jan 9, 2025):
Search is not a capability of the model itself but rather an engineering implementation. You can call other search APIs, such as Bing, and construct your own pipeline. If you're interested, you can refer to some of the work done by LobeChat. Thank you!
@Morrigan-Ship commented on GitHub (Jan 9, 2025):
and DeepThink?
