Project

DSH Desktop is a local-first, cross-platform desktop app for the official DeepSeek Harness.

Why it may fit this list

DSH Desktop packages the DeepSeek Harness runtime as an installed desktop application and provides a GUI flow for starting Harness, configuring the official DeepSeek provider, managing workspaces and sessions, and running the first Agent task without requiring users to install or manage the CLI separately.

It supports the current official DeepSeek models, including deepseek-v4-pro and deepseek-v4-flash, through DeepSeek Harness. It also adds desktop-oriented capabilities such as portable Agent presets, plugin management and recovery, non-destructive Safe Mode, automatic updates, and optional phone access.

This submission is for DSH Desktop at dataelement/dsh-desktop; it is a separate project from DSH Studio in #387.

Proposed guide

If DSH Desktop is considered in scope, we would be happy to submit a PR following CONTRIBUTING.md, including:

  • docs/dsh-desktop.md and docs/dsh-desktop.zh-CN.md
  • Entries in both README tables in alphabetical order
  • Installation → DeepSeek API key and model configuration → first run
  • Current V4 model names, the 1M context capability, and max reasoning effort
  • Only configuration paths verified against the current desktop release and official Harness behavior
