Summary

  • replace the stale warning that says Cline does not support DeepSeek V4
  • document the current built-in Pro/Flash choices and safe shared reasoning level
  • add the exact OpenAI-compatible context, output, and image-capability settings
  • keep the English and Simplified Chinese guides synchronized

Current Cline source defines DeepSeek as a reasoning-capable provider, defaults it to deepseek-v4-flash, and lists https://api.deepseek.com as its base URL. The custom-provider UI labels and values in this guide were checked against the current Cline implementation. Cline currently offers high but not DeepSeek's max value in its reasoning-effort selector, so high is the highest setting accepted by both sides.

Validation

  • verified the built-in provider definition and custom-provider field labels against current Cline source
  • verified V4 context, output, modalities, and reasoning options against the current DeepSeek catalog metadata
  • checked both guides for stale V3 model names and waiting language
  • checked bilingual parity for both model IDs, numeric limits, and reasoning guidance
  • confirmed the existing open Cline PRs touch separate Cline CLI guides
  • git diff --check
