📄 Description

Add English and Simplified Chinese setup guides for DeepCode (Achbite), an MIT-licensed coding agent with GUI, TUI, and CLI interfaces sharing model connections and conversations.

DeepCode combines project editing and shell tools with Computer Use: its GUI includes an embedded browser for frontend previews and inspection, and it supports authorized Chrome connections and native macOS/Windows application interaction. The guides state the GUI dependency and platform permission boundaries, and link to the relevant capability documentation.

The setup uses DeepSeek V4.1 Flash through the Responses API, with a 1M context setting, a 384K maximum output budget, Thinking enabled, and explicitly saved max effort. It covers release downloads, Docker source builds, model configuration, a first tool task, continuing the same conversation, and shared CLI/TUI access, including /language for the interface.

Two details are intentional:

  • The API model is deepseek-flash, as specified in the current official model documentation. The contribution template still mentions deepseek-v4-flash. The saved DeepCode profile ID and the API model name are explained separately.
  • The existing “Deep Code” entry is lessweb/deepcode-cli. This contribution uses DeepCode (Achbite) and achbite_deepcode filenames to distinguish the projects.

Validation and assets:

  • The 0.6.50 release is built from main commit 25a23a63841b25aca7d9cbb71a41743996bf8db0 and provides macOS ARM64 portable and installer assets. Its signing and acceptance limits are stated in the release notes.
  • The documented real-provider first task and continuation were exercised. A task from the final macOS archive also completed fs.read and returned an answer. Its two Responses requests used model: deepseek-flash, reasoning.effort: max, and max_output_tokens: 384000.
  • The final package's TUI opened, switched to English with /language en-US, and read the saved preference on restart. The GUI opened in English and displayed the completed CLI conversation.
  • The model-settings image is a real GUI capture. The Chinese TUI image is an unedited native screenshot supplied by the maintainer. The English TUI illustration uses image editing to translate interface labels and is explicitly identified as an edited illustration, with a link to the original.
  • Windows/Linux native execution, PKG installation, and downloaded/quarantined first-open behavior are not claimed as validated by this release. The package smoke check does not claim to re-test all Computer Use integrations.

Checklist

Agent Configuration

  • Model names follow the current official API documentation (deepseek-flash; see the note above).
  • 1M context is configured and explained.
  • Maximum thinking effort (max) is supported and verified in actual requests.
  • Pricing: no prices are copied into the guide; it links to the current official pricing page.
  • Configuration fields are verified in DeepCode and in real provider requests.
  • No workarounds for already-fixed upstream bugs.

Documentation

  • English and Chinese guides are included in the same change.
  • Both README table entries are inserted in alphabetical order.
  • This change covers only DeepCode (Achbite).
  • Images are in docs/assets/ with descriptive filenames; image provenance is stated.
