What

Makes cutting a release a one-liner and gives Proxmox users a one-command host install. Groundwork for the Proxmox VE Community Scripts submission (the install script consumes the release .deb).

scripts/release.sh + make release VERSION=x.y.z — tags vX.Y.Z and pushes it; the existing CI package job then builds the .deb and publishes the GitHub release with auto-generated notes. ci.yml's release step now sets generate_release_notes: true.
Makefile version fix — on an exact tag the version is taken verbatim, so incidental working-tree churn (e.g. go mod tidy touching go.sum in CI) no longer leaks a .dirty suffix into the artifact name. Off a tag, behaviour is unchanged. Also fixes the stale package Homepage (docker-lxc-daemon → LXC2Docker).

scripts/install-on-pve.sh — downloads the latest release .deb and installs it on a Proxmox VE host:

readme — documents the release flow and the host one-liner.

Notes

v0.1.0 has already been cut (existing CI attached a clean docker-lxc-daemon_0.1.0_amd64.deb). Once this lands, future releases are just make release VERSION=….
Verified: on the v0.1.0 commit the Makefile resolves VERSION=0.1.0 even with a dirtied go.sum; release.sh rejects a dirty tree, a bad version, and an existing tag.
