📄 Description

Adds Eden (a maintained yuzu fork) as the Switch emulator, fixing the broken switch ROM platform.

Context

Citron's download is commented out in base-emu ("TODO: check why this is failing") and rom_launcher.sh's switch slot points at a citron.AppImage that never gets built — so launching Switch ROMs currently fails (#261). Eden is actively maintained and a clean drop-in for that slot.

What this does

  • base-emu — download the Eden Linux AppImage via the existing forgejo_download helper (git.eden-emu.dev), plus an eden.sh launcher that runs it fullscreen (-f). Ubuntu + Fedora.
  • rom_launcher — point the switch platform at eden.sh.
  • es-de — seed a default Eden qt-config.ini (fullscreen UI, Switch gamedir at /ROMs/switch) on first launch, mirroring how the other emulators' configs are seeded.
  • smoke test asserts eden.AppImage is present; the es-de doc notes the config and the default key / firmware / ROM paths.

The asset filter is anchored on .AppImage$ so it picks the AppImage, not the .AppImage.zsync update file listed before it.

Notes / questions

  • Left the commented-out Citron block and citron.sh in place rather than removing them — happy to drop them for a clean replacement if you prefer.
  • Tracks the latest Eden release via forgejo_download. If you'd rather pin (like Cemu's download_verified + sha256) for reproducibility, I can switch — Eden's releases are young and move fast.
  • Like every Switch emulator, running games needs user-provided prod.keys + firmware dumped from your own console (out of scope here). The es-de doc lists where to place them.

Draft pending your CI build.
