Everything works flawlessly when I stream using Sunshine/Moonlight to my Deck, even the touchscreen. But I cannot use the trackpads and capacitive thumbsticks when I emulate the Dualsense controller. Steam Link is already capable of streaming the Deck controller and one can also connect the controller through VirtualHere USB server. I'd really appreciate it.

You can map them to be part of the joystick via Steam Input on your Steam Deck, right?

Unfortunately it's not that simple here with Moonlight. Implementing a virtual device in Inputtino is only part of the solution, see: https://github.com/games-on-whales/inputtino/issues/32#issuecomment-3523311816

Unless there's a coordinated effort to modify the Moonlight protocol to add support for this there's no point in doing all the work in inputtino unfortunately.

@ABeltramo Looks like this happened recently! 👀

I suspect that these updates to the core moonlight-common-c protocol would enable movement on this FR for inputtino.

Requesting this FR be re-opened due to https://github.com/games-on-whales/inputtino/issues/33#issuecomment-4952123871

Sure thing, we can reopen this. Anyone wants to take a stab at implementing it?
