Hi,

I'm currently using Sunshine for game streaming. However, the main drawback is that I can't use my PC while streaming, and only one stream can run at a time without input conflicts. Essentially, only one user can access the machine at any given time. Wolf looks like a perfect solution to this, but I'm concerned about needing to re-download my entire Steam library inside the Docker container, which would double my storage usage.

Ideally, I'd like to use my existing Steam library directly. Perhaps sharing my library folder with the Docker container could work, but I'm not sure how easily that would integrate with Wolf's per-user library system. Alternatively, is it possible to run Wolf on my Linux machine natively, without using Docker?

Do you have any suggestions or alternative approaches?

Hello there! 👋

Wolf looks like a perfect solution to this, but I'm concerned about needing to re-download my entire Steam library inside the Docker container, which would double my storage usage.

There are some ideas floating around in https://github.com/games-on-whales/wolf/issues/83 so I'm going to close up this issue as a duplicate of that one. There are multiple ways to achieve what you are after and I'm still not sure what could be the best option here, if you'd like to experiment keep us updated!

Alternatively, is it possible to run Wolf on my Linux machine natively, without using Docker?

Not really, without Docker you will lose the user isolation. At that point it's better to just use Sunshine instead.

Do you have any suggestions or alternative approaches?

Apart from what has been discussed in #83 not really, if you have any other ideas please share!
